It's interesting to note your comments but why do you stop short of looking for truth. If it is not to be found in Catholicism where can it be found?
Why allow the sad history of this Organization to further blacken any spirituality you have? Surely there is Truth out there and finding that Truth and the responsibilities inherent with it should be paramount in your lives.
Would Christ not be cognizant of Earth's affairs? Would not Christ be incensed with the conduct of those supposedly representing him as 'Vicar'?His time will very come and he well knows what he should do. Then,by all means,follow the direction at Heb. 6:1

Also, I will admit, as a Catholic, that part of the bible probably wasn't meant to be interpreted as literally, or as historically as some may interpret. I feel like there is, along side history, such as Jesus, and his followers, some stuff meant only to teach a lesson. I'll also admit, the Vatican has done some questionable things in the past, and the present. I don't think they should define me as a Catholic. I don't need an organization in Rome to love God, and live out his lessons of doing good works. Don't insult a people whose message, at the core, is to be the best person you can be, simply because a small amount of zealots have misinterpreted that message. Believe what you want, I don't care if you don't believe in the lord, I've got my own beliefs to think about, just don't be a jerk about it.

I agree . I am a LUTHERAN. I believe in a relationship with Christ. Religious people have done terrible things in the past. Joan of Arc was tortured and burnt because she had a gift and was a woman. Poor Musclem people were killed during the holy wars. So bad. Jesus want us to love one another not kill each other. He loved all. Even the lowest of the low. When people, including co LUTHERAN people knew turned on me Jesus was always there for me. God bless you and your faith in the living God.

It was his choice to be bad. Not all Catholics are bad. Mother Theresa is one. There are bad people in all walkscof life. It is our jobs to show love on this plain. MT sacrificed her life for orphans in Calcutta. I am not saying do that . I am saying pay for a coffee, give someone a hug who needs it, don't judge someone cause of their preferences in life, etc... I admire your conviction. If you feel it will help someone who hurt, go for it. Just remember there are idiots who will not like it. Blessings to you. You may not love Jesus but sure loves you, enough to lay his life down for you.

hell yeah! during WWII, they did nothing to speak out against The Holocaust, for one thing. And like an apology from a Pope 70 years later makes up for it!
And the Vatican has stock in birth control. WTF...one of the Catholic church's mainstays is no birth control...and they have stock in it! 12 years of Catholic school here...man, what an experience, LOL...those were the days.
