Description Just so you know, these all take place within an 6 year time period.

1. Pansy took no time at all in warming up to Twilight. It was like the alicorn had always been her mother, and since Pansy never talked about (or remembered for that matter) her previous parents, Twilight never brought it up. The two bonded to each other as if they had never been a moment apart. As for the snuggling scene you see here, this was a very common ritual for these two.

2. When Pansy was about 4 years-old, not long after she got her first pair of glasses, she started to become self conscious about her mane. She adored Twilight and like most little kids, she wanted to be and look just like her, which was hard enough before and now with the new glasses, Pansy looked more different than ever. So one day, she asked her mother if she could style her mane to look just like hers. Twilight of course was flattered by her daughters request, and while she did what Pansy asked, she straightened it to look less like a carbon copy and more like an original. Not that Pansy minded, she was too busy being enamored with her new look.

3. The two do a lot together, but one of their top favorite activities is going on nature walks. Pansy likes them more than Twilight, who’s more of a homebody, but the mare enjoys seeing her little filly so excited over finding some new creature or shoving every plant know to ponydom in her muzzle. The only drawbacks are the couple of....disliked critters, such as snakes, skunks, and especially spiders.

4. Another common family ritual is, of course, story time. It’s not that Pansy doesn’t like Daring Do, it’s just that some parts tend to be a little too much for her. When it comes to reading, Pansy can be quite emotionally and mentally invested in it, which is why she abstains from reading any kind of horror and always has a box of tissues ready for any romance she reads. Twilight knows this, so whenever she would read a story to her, she made sure to either skip over or smooth out some of the more intense parts.

Also, I cannot draw a Daring Do book to save mah life.

(* Note: I accidentally drew Pansy a little too big for her age range here, since I’m so used to drawing 10-12 year olds. So please excuse my little artist mistake.)

I hope Daring Do didn't take too much inspiration from Indiana Jones.

1:  Awww look at little Pansy!  She looks like a precious little puppy snuggling up to its momma!

2:  It's always cute to see how much kids want to emulate their parents when they're around that age.  And to be fair, Twilight is a pretty good pony and princess to emulate.

3:  Think about it like this Twilight: your daughter's interests can help you to strengthen your own natural studies by getting to see the subjects up close and personal... but in the case of the spiders, try not to look into their eyes (it's always the dark, blank eyes that'll send those shivers up your spine.)

4:  I couldn't imagine a better (or more adorable) bonding exercise for a daughter of Twilight and her momma.

On another note, how much does Pansy know about the... situation that lead to her getting adopted by Twilight?  I'd imagine Twilight talking to her about her being adopted from a very young age, after going over the... awkward talk about where babies come from, a question that probably arose in the young, curious filly's mind when she stared to notice how different her family was in relation to all the nuclear families in Ponyville.  But does Pansy know about Applejack and Troubleshoes finding her in the Everfree, or the... state of her birth parents when she was found?  When she does learn about it, does she ask to see where her birth parents were buried?  Does she or Twilight ever attempt to connect with the rest of Pansy's birth family (sooner or later, friends/ family would be wondering what happened to the couple and their child, and would eventually come to Ponyville looking for answers.)

Golly, I don’t why it’s taken me this long to reply.

Before I talk about the last paragraph, I just want to say that, although I don’t have much of a response to them, I do really appreciate all the feedback on the doodles. It just made my day! ^^

As for all the probating questions here, well, I don’t want to give away all the answers just yet. I’ve got some pieces coming up that I plan to explain most of your questions with, so I don’t want to spoil it all here.

Although, I will address the question of extend family coming into the picture. I don’t want to over complicate things for Pansy and since I want to keep the focus on her adopted family, I didn’t plan to include any extended family in the picture.

I imagine Pansy’s parents were both the reclusive type with no siblings and very little family save for maybe an aunt or two, with whom they had little connection with. They lived by themselves in a cottage only a mountain or two from the Everfree forest and has little contact with the outside world. So when all three went missing, there was no one to really notice.

This is just so wonderfully adorable! I really love their relationship, I bet Twilight would be a wonderful mama. Plus, I love the way you draw wings. So wonderfully fluffy.

Why thank you, I’m glad you like it!  I plan to show plenty more of these two in the future. Indeed she would be; a stressed out, organized, but loving and protective mama. *gasp* You do!? Ohmegoodness, thank you, I’m so glad you like mah style. :3

They are! Ugh, that sounds awful! My worst experience with a spider was when I was seven. I found an it’s bitty spider on my shelf and decided to get really close to it. We were eye level when all of a sudden it jumped on my face!

It was only a harmless jumping spider, but to a seven year old, that ordeal was traumatic.

That’s pretty much what I did. I’d shriek too if I found spiders in my bath tub. I haven’t seen any so far. Just Stinkbugs. But man, having spiders in there must be awful!

And....that is why I’m not ever moving to the Pacific Northwest. Glad to hear it’s cool, though. When I lived in Florida, the rain was never cool, just humid and sticky. Like a sauna.
