Zelda is the main character in a story I'm writing about...you guessed it! witches! I've never thought of drawing my fictional characters before because previously the characters I write about and the characters I draw are in very different spheres. But I really love the group of characters in this novel (there are three other girls) and eventually I want to draw them all because they're aesthetics are to die for. (British school girl chic isn't that exciting but the vibes of her every day clothes are my fave)

Not pictured: Zelda's skateboard, bruised and battered knees, her bed head or classic beanie hat.

I can't wait to draw her girlfriend!

Also, yeah, I used a base because I didn't have any sketches of Zelda lying around (and I'd totally mess up drawing a free hand body) which meant I had to freehand all of her clothes and hair using a trackpad, so I think it came out pretty darn well all things considered!

Also, I think I've finally found a way I want to shade hair!!
