Description This is an older one, done by hand. The tunic itself I even dyed by hand; it's plain muslin. The cloak is just a big rectangle of wool, pinned at the shoulder. It's one of the simplest costumes I've done but for all that, I like it.

It looks like a heavy linen. Nice work. What did you use for dye? Did you go the Rit/Dylon route or use homemade dyes?

It's been a while since I made it, but I think it was just store-bought. I had to be careful when dyeing the fabric, to make sure it didn't wind up looking garish or just too modern.
