Description
OK...She is finished!This drawing is COMPLETELY and OBVIOUSLY inspired by the Amazing Chris Sanders [link] . This is a slightly changed version of one of his un-finished sketches!
I took some artistic liberty. Originally Chris had wings on her back but I have difficulty drawing feathers so I gave her a jetpack.
•11" x 14" Strathmore 300 series smooth bristol.
• 2H and mostly 2B pencils
• electric eraser for some effects ( battery operated)

Usually I don't comment, but this one did kind of disturb me a little, took me a bit to see what the problem was, for me. The style is fine, the idea is cute.
The shirt however stops a little short. If we're being anatomically honest, even with this being a young girl, or because it's a young girl, that top would her breast area rather exposed.
Now there's not so much as a hint of impropriety in your work, just the viewers own knowledge of how things line up. The result is a rather unsettling feeling.

I think it's funny you worried about people commenting. Can't speak for everyone, but honestly, I just didn't see it was up. I checked my deviations folder last night, but didn't see it in there. Very strange. Perhaps I only overlooked it.
As far as the quality of the work- it's excellent. Of course. Would you mind posting something crappy every once in a while? It would greatly help my self esteem. Thanks so much.
If you would like some detail to the comment, I'd say that my favorite parts are the rocket, her boots, and the lighting on her skin. You make excellent gradients.
If I were being picky, I'd say her eyes are looking a little watery- which then again, I guess would be natural, since she's flying through the air without goggles. Umm... maybe her mouth is a little thin? Perhaps crooked? I don't know. Finding nits to pick is hard. Can't I just say I like it?

Oh wow. The ammount of shading and detailing in this little drawing blew me away. How you managed to bring so much life and volume to such a styled doodle is jawdropping to me. Particularly the hair! The little strands on the edges,how did you manage tomake the 'white' strands though? With a REALLY tiny eraser?:'D

Personally I'd think her wings would be easier to draw than her jet pack only because I have no idea how a jetpack'd look like. I'm glad you chose to give her a jet pack because it's fancy spark is one of my fav part of this drawing along with her eyes and boots. I always love how smooth your shading is and how 'alive' your drawing looks.

The only thing i can think of is that maybe it's the background??
Instead of doing a light background maybe there shouldn't have been one at all.
Sounds silly but it jst doesn't seem to 'go' with the drawing.
Also it might be because it's not an original like you said.
