Canterbury is constantly anxious and emotionally unstable. He doesn't really know how to properly interact with people and cries when he doesn't understand. He also cannot control his magical ability, causing weird anomalies to happen without warning- usually he disappears or becomes invisible, but sometimes these occurrences can lead to serious injury for other ponies. Because of his genetic background and magical mishaps, most older ponies tend to shun him or mock him, but fillies his age do the best they can to make him feel loved and validated. Fluttershy especially loves him like a mother and does everything in her power to care for him.
