This guy had the potential to become a long term DBZ character! Too bad he was just thought as the equivalent of villain of the week by the ones that created him. Like I really don't have anything backing this theory up but it just feels that way. Yet somehow he turned out to be somewhat of interesting character...wonder why?!?

Yeah that's pretty much it actually! You hit the nail on the head with that one! Although personally I like Brolly's character, I don't know what exactly it is about him! But he is weird in many ways, like under mind control (or rather with his madness suppressed) he seems polite, quite, probably even a nice guy...probably! When he transforms though, he seems like a whole other person! And the fact that he can remembers Goku when he was born is a whole other stage of weird almost like his own power posses him! Like even the Hulk (which is probably who Brolly was inspired by I mean come on) has traces of Bruce Banner's personality! Brolly seems nothing like himself when he transforms, well actually he does show traces of self loathing calling himself a Freak and all! In the end it doesn't make all that much sense if you think about it! It could be due to lazy writing, it happened before it wouldn't surprise at all!

I think the contrast in demeanor adds a bit of sympathy to an overwhelming foe, otherwise he'd come off as one-dimensional. Even the end of the first Broly movie wasn't a resounding victory for the Z-Fighters...which is really unheard of in DBZ (save for Lord Beerus, Whis and those levels of beings just recently introduced). The notion of having a character that Goku/Vegeta/Gohan/etc just can't beat is an interesting one, and it's a shame they never explored it more in depth, but hey there's a new series out, so we may get something new

Well If Brolly does pop out (which I honestly don't think he will) I'd like to see him with a better defined personality! For all I care the series might as well dedicate an episode or two of following the guy around, otherwise they can forget it! It be just been there done that all over again!

If you think about it though, maximum means there's a limit.
Unlike Gohan and Frieza who have zero upper limit. And Goku and Gohan who surpass their limits.

Sounds about right. They wrote Broly as being so overpowered in the movies that they had to (and you can clearly SEE this happening) asspull ways of getting rid of him. So of course, they would whip out more asspull beam cannon to get rid of him again.

I'm sorry I have to say it. Its a dumb concept but a cool picture. You would never get 5 pure hearted saiyans to do this for him. Why not just leave Broly with his OWN unique transformations. I mean people aren't constantly drawing LSSJ Goku and all the other saiyans so why put Goku's unique transformation on Broly.

Even though sometimes things can be nonsensical, shouldn't prevent you from creating it. Otherwise the world would be a very cookie-cutter place. Also, this was done for a contest where the rules were to reimagine Broly in an alternate form.
