This is the finished piece that I started working on at Otronicon 2013! Finally finished up all of the colors, along with highlights, effects, etc.Some of my earliest memories of drawing include making pictures of Godzilla when I was around 4 years old, so for the show I wanted to make him. Then, it was suggested by my future brother in law to include Evangelion in the mix. Now, I'm a BIG Godzilla fan, but I think he has his work cut out for him here. Also, I wanted to make him look really aggressive, so I took a few styling cues from the face of Zilla, and incorporated it into my design. One thing I wanted to retain with this piece, was to make it look like a movie still - so I hope I was successful with that goal. Hope you guys enjoy!

You can't just generalize every godzilla together. If we talking specifically shin godzilla the eva has more chances of losing. A godzilla such as he 1954 godzilla would have no chance against an eva.

Final wars godzilla is pretty strong but in this case I'm pretty hesitant to declare a winner since FW is really over the top. I'm leaning towards godzilla on this one

Well, if we are talking Heisei, Burning, Final, or GMK, they all have spiral variants, so I think those Godzillas would totally win. And I think Shin would win, but it is hard to determine because he has not fought anyone aside from military yet, but I think his rays could do the job.

The red spiral ray is way too overrated and frankly, the A.T. field would easily slice through most gojis. The one goji with the highest chance of winning would be shin because he is virtually unkillable and would just come back with a new form, stronger, and maybe even A.T. field proof.

Good news! a new video game is coming out later this year that'll have both Godzilla and Evangelion in it. we'll finally get to see who would a fight if these two met!

The EVA would most likely win. Considering the massive amounts of damage it can take and dish out,plus its size and additional weaponry. Some angels like Ramiel or Zeruel could kill Godzilla all by themselves.

As if. Godzilla tanks black holes and kills casual planet busters like chumps. And he's destroyed tons of different anti-kaiju mechas. Even the mechas that are designed for the sole purpose of killing him failed.
He solos the entire Evangelion-verse. Good thing, too. We got no use for a universe with such concentrated emo.

GUYS, IT IS TWO FAKE MOVIES/SHOWS, look, I get the who would win scenario, but seriously, stop getting so butthurt over other peoples opinions. How much power can the Eva dish out? because Godzilla has tanked a meteorite that leveled a citie unharmed & has survived a blackhole... which according to science can destroy almost anything.
Godzilla even regenerated from a Heart once when he was destroyed. So stamina also a big factor.

Depends on how much power the Eva Unit 01 has in its ascended form. But Godzilla is definitely no slouch.

Eh - it was only explored for all of 10 minutes in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. So at this point they haven't really gone in depth as far as how powerful the Ascended Eva Unit 01 is.

The Ascended form as far as I know is exclusive to the Rebuild of Evangelion storyline, which is movie only and not manga.

regardless of who wins no-ones going to be fuckin alive to see it , at least not in japan at any rate how ever considering EVA-01 in its pseudo-evolved phase 1 form it turned Zerul into swish cheese and in its pseudo-evolved state phase to it killed everyone in 100s of miles and literally changed the planet id have to put my money on unit-01 but it would definitely be a close fight so it could always go either way
