I haven't posted anything here in DA for years. I don't know where / how I stumbled upon this image you've painted. But I had to download it as it inspired me. I did a quick google search and it lead me to good'ol DA (of course).
At first, I wanted basically copy or shall I say "rerender it" just to see if I could. But then I thought maybe I should try to create something of my own. Before I do that, I just have to ask, did you look at anything for reference or is this just from your imagination? Do you show the progression of this piece anywhere?

Th e coolest aspect to this fantastic declaration is how subtley and with that grin, the weapons and the man could be from 200 years in the future, 200 years ago, right now... or all three...but, of course, it would take a very talonted -S- to do that.
