This is going to be a very nice sculpture. I like the look on his face and the pose looks very natural.

Yes, I certainly know the feeling 
I even have some sculptures, which are finished halfway and ended up in the trashcan.
But really you have to finish this one. When I saw the small picture the first time, I thought it was already finished. So I don't think you have much more work to do.

His skin does look smoother and his facial expressions look smoother too, less cut out, if you know what I mean.
