Artist Statement: After watching a documentary on The Black Dahlia murder, I took this portrait of my cousin and her creepy doll. The world is so dangerous, even when compared to the time of that prolific crime. With human trafficking being a constant in everyday life, safety has become a luxury. While stories of murders such as The Black Dahlia caused outrage back in those days, it's become the status quo these days. Also, that doll is super creepy. how could I not take a photo of it?
