One hundred millennia from now, the solar system as we know it is gone. In its place, billions of slowly-failing fragments of a shattered Dyson Sphere haunt the sun, holding the last remnants of humanity and and its daughter races.
Gossamyr is an apprentice shaman of a small transhuman tribe on one of the last functioning habitats, until contact with the advanced human society of the Known Nations changes everything she thought she knew about her world. Plunged into a perilous odyssey across the vast cosmic ruins of the Sphere, she is forced to decide the destiny of her people...and perhaps that of all humanity.

I've reviewed "The Shattered Sky" and am thinking about including it in a random "books you might like" list at the back of my upcoming SF novel. Have you considered writing anything more in that setting? There's certainly enough space in the setting for more plots. Incidentally, have you ever done anything with interactive fiction systems such as Twine?

And of course good luck with your own book, I know its not easy.
I would love to do more with The Shattered Sky setting, and with mainstream scifi and fantasy in general. However, its a matter of economics, especially since I self-publish all my work. The Shattered Sky was a huge undertaking, as in years worth of work on and off, and its probably the best thing I've ever written, IMHO. But even five years after releasing it I still haven't even sold a thousand copies of it. I've been doing erotica books in the last several years mostly because they kind of sell themselves without a lot of marketing (which I admit I suck at.) While the erotica books are fun to do, they're not all I want to do. When I can get a self-sustaining point with the book sales, I'm hoping I can start putting out more mainstream works again, but I'm still only about 60% there.

I do consider The Shattered Sky to be my best work to date, and even though its not as widely read as I'd like, those who do read it seem to really enjoy it, so I'm happy for that. = )
