I drew this as a present for my wifes birthday , she has always loved Elvis and as it had been 3.5 years since I last drew Elvis, I thought this would make an ideal gift - unfortunately the framed original is stuck in a crate somewhere between China and the UK so she has to make do with an electronic copy on DA
I thought it was also interesting to see my drawing development over the past few years - not sure about the drawing, but my photography (or scanning in this case) has certainly improved
Drawn on bristol board smooth paper with Faber Castell 9000 Series pencils, time taken - about 20 hours

Both the drawing and scanning have improved Paul! I only live about 8 miles from Graceland and I think Elvis would be proud!

Nicely done. Great capture of light. I also lost an original, so I bought my own drawing thru DA on canvas. Basically I paid base price for conversion and shipping. It was worth eating a little crow for buying my own work. lol

I have 46 of my favourite drawings, representing 3 years hard work, all packed away in made to measure cases en-route from Shanghai to England - I pray each evening that they make it in one piece
