Quick question - Where did the hat and belt come from? I guess the catsuit is Exnem's? Just been looking on the net for 'catwoman' outfits.

Cheers

Hi, The Hat/Goggles, Belt I made from bit of props (the goggles from arcebus) I had in my runtime, her suit and mask are a V4 2nd skin texture I put together, and I modified the boots to have the cuts...

oh and her bike is from a picture off the web I cutout and staged..

Dracis3D In reply to PaulSuttonArt [2015-05-25 13:06:00 +0000 UTC]

Thank you - Good to know. I guessed that the image was made out of three images:

1. Photo Bike
2. Photo City
3. Render concrete, girl & fog photoshopped

I thought the suit was the below but I can see the belly button which is the giveaway for second skins! Impressed with making the props, I find small props are uncommon in Daz/Poser and I wouldn't know where to start with some of the components. I would probaly have to try and learn how to make .obj's. I will be putting out a Catwoman render but I've decided to do my own thing, copying the movies is too hard!

I can't remember the old one but the following are my observations:

1. You have changed the suit from the Exnem killer catsuit to the Dark Knight Suit (along with the belt and props (www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/in… )
2. You have kept the Exnem gloves and boots and the texture style from the suit
3. I love the reflection/water effect on the ground
4. I really like the water splashes on the bike, engine smoke and splashes on the ground
5. Same for the out of focus and lighting effects
6. The only criticism is the outfit around the chest looks glued to the torso and very thin (right up the the neck). I'm well aware of how clothes stick to figures but it just does not seem right.

The last is a very minor point, always love the detail you put in images. I'm still taking baby steps with my photo manip!!!!

It is always easier to view the images side by side, but if it helps I looked through the series and it was still my favourite image. I did have a thought, a not so helpful thought on how the image would look if the camera angle was pointing downwards a little more. Why? The bike and reflection is more interesting than the buildings.

But I think it is still the best Dark City image.

I'll try and provide more info if I can...

You are correct on all three point, but generally I make the background first, and drop it in poser, but save the final render as a png and a psd, and then drop the png over the psd, as this way it allows me to control, all the lights, colour of every element of the scene...i dropped a copy of the bike in a layer in ps also...

For pouches, belts search for under batman etc.. there is just loads of free stuff available... Daz forum has a mega list all the stuff that free... just search 'poser daze free hero', or comic, or something like that...

Regarding Exnem Killer Catsuit, now I've looked I'm not even sure myself, so you could be right...and I'm rendering so i can not look... maybe I just borrow the textures, mats from it!

with props you just have to think of something that you have that might fit what you are looking for... and stretch it make it bigger etc...

Good advice on Batman and I've seen the Daz thread when I searched for Catwoman stuff (three entries). I searched on ShareCG before for belts and pouches but came away with little. Appreicate the openess with picture construction, layering images is something I've not tried yet but it makes great portraits. As I'm getting better I'm looking to see if I can work out how images are made!

Are you on Daz or Poser?

Here a great set.. think it has belts etc.. you just have to re-size for V4
www.sharecg.com/v/73674/galler…

and if not... there are defo some here
www.realmofsavage.com/ProjectB…

Well it's all very time consuming I can tell that much! ...but a great reward if it all works out, and you get 10,000+ views on an image

Daz - Short story is that I wanted to build some 3D sprites and cutscenes for RPG maker, found myself preferring to make pictures! Daz was free and I've learnt the software now (painful experience though)

I've downloaded the resources, I've got the Joe Quick batgirl and catwoman suits but missed that one (foolishly didn't see the potential). Realm of Savage I never heard about but the belts will be handy.

You are totally right with your last point, currently my road has been learning Daz, learning Luxrender and scene lighting. I'm now playing with materials and custom settings (not using the item textures). I am doing a little editing work but still a complete beginner with photo editing. For example I've never created any pictures with layers. Time will tell and I will certainly try to create a couple of really good pieces, or more technically challenging.

She looks gorgeous and I do like the outfit design based off the Dark Knight Returns movie. I did like her outfit in it and you gave her body work a perfect form and detail to her athleticism.
Nice job with the background work and detail. The bike looks rugged and realistic. Lovely facial beauty and hair styling realism.
Gorgeous job  with Selina Kyle
