It would be awesome to 3D print this!

PaulSuttonArt In reply to ratravarman [2014-11-05 13:21:57 +0000 UTC]

Hi Thanks, yes I think it would be marvellous... even if it was small

Sorry I seem to have got side tracked on your project... but not forgotten

ratravarman In reply to PaulSuttonArt [2014-11-05 16:02:27 +0000 UTC]

Thank you and I understand! Small can be good, contrary to popular belief, most 3D printings can only fit inside a volume equivalent to 64 cubic inches.

PaulSuttonArt In reply to ratravarman [2014-11-06 21:21:32 +0000 UTC]

Thanks...

64 WOW, you got a 3d printer? What you line of work?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ratravarman In reply to PaulSuttonArt [2014-11-07 04:44:10 +0000 UTC]

No, I don't have one, I just know what they are capable of doing. 64 cubic inches translates into a volume of a cube 4 inches square or anything equivalent like a rectangle 4x8X2. I could seen this sculpture being printable within a volume like that. The render map could be read depending on the format or translated into CAD and then fed into the printer software.
