The Platte Protectorate was formed by Texas from American Territory after the Great American War (1859-1863: California, Texas, United Kingdom, abolishonist rebels rebels and various Native tribes vs. United States and Cascadian Rebels) to serve as a homeland for their Sioux allies who they feared would face reprisal by the American Government.The flag consists of 4 equal quarters, coloured after the colors of the Texan flag, with the Sioux symbol in the upper left
