I have seen a lot of people that just link to a site like this >>> [link] when they could with a bit more effort have a link like this >>> My Deviant Art Home PageI decided to create this extremly simple tutorial to help new people and even some people that have been here a while and just did not know of this feature.

For that (linking to another deviant) you can use the :dev*: feature, where * is replaced with the username of the deviant you're linking to.
It parses into said deviant's username, with the text of the name a hyperlink to their profile, all preceded by their rank symbol:
=Burikutonu

thanks! i had no idea that da incorporated html. i guess i just assumed that it did not incorporate html because it's an art website and you can't really customize the layout or colors of anything by using html, so why would you be able to format text with it? silly me. but, i've been a user for quite a long time, and i spent like 6 months to a year without even so much as logging onto da [[incredibly busy with school and work]] and then i come back and all of a sudden you can use css with your journals. i guess da is movin' on up!

Hey PC...can you link it to the rest of your art? I have to know, being a noob and all to the wonders of HTML. I mean, I know somethings about computers, but mostly E-mail addresses and Minesweeper.

quick question...I was wondering if you knew how to say...put a stamp in ones journal, linking it to their gallery and/or print shop on dA. I did know at one time, but I've forgotten.

I thought avatar was standart in DA.
You can't use the tag in DA so you need to use a DA-Tag.

Also when linking in dAmn, you can simply put the link then the link text in brackets like so http://www.site.com/link.htm (My site) and it will come out liek this My site
