I don't know...I just updated to 4.11 last night.Β I'm having video card issue.Β RTX 2070, and two GTX-960 have stopped talking to each other.Β and windows doesn't recognize the 960's even after all the updates, bios flash, roll backs, and restorations.Β I'll get back to you when I can.

Thank you for this, it's going to be very useful!
Quick question - do you know if there's a way to link nodes so they move together?
π: 0 β©: 1
PDSmith In reply to silenceyoursword [2019-02-23 19:19:28 +0000 UTC]
that would have to be done via Studio 4.10 or the public release 4.11Β Β you can manually make your own templates and link them that way....
or open up the G3F/G3M template file and see how I wrote it....hint it's the 'group' command at the bottom. Just remember to open in Notepad and save as a text.Β other wise notepad will hose it all up.

On vacation at the moment but when I get home, I'll give it a shot, all I'm doing is making templates to work with the exsiting program.Β Sorry I can't bring back the reset pose button.Β Go on the DAZ forum and ask for that.

If you don't mind my asking, what is this?
I've heard of the term Powerpose before, but have no idea what it is for or where it's located in the program.

I think it's probably easier if you talk with Shadow on it through Skype, he can give you the best description of it and walk you through it's use and application.Β He used to be a Poser user, and truth be told, once he got his hands on this. this became the main selling point to bring him over.Β In fact from what I've been received from many Poser users over the years this tool is has been invaluable to them, it just takes time to learn.
Remember that if you updated to the latest copy of Studio, there is a new updated template to load..and that's free from Daz.

Darn.
One thing that really disappointed me about the recent Daz Studio update is they removed that handy "zero pose" button from PowerPose. I was hoping your update would restore it...
Oh well, you can't have everything!

Got here from the Daz forums. This looks great and I'm looking forward to trying it. I have one question, though: why does the rar include the dll? Aside from the licensing issues, the increased file size,Β the potential that a (much desired, but probably-not-coming) Powerpose update could be clobbered, and the problems with passing around compressed executables (mail programs not liking it, need to re-scan at every transfer, etc.), it makes me a little wary of installing.
From what I read on the Daz forums I had expected just new templates. Is this an altered Powerpose executable, or did the dll just get scooped up in the packaging?
And thanks again for the hard work and the gift to the community!

PDSmith In reply to xowl [2017-03-28 18:40:43 +0000 UTC]
No one has ever said don't. But then Daz hasn't updated this since they came out with Studio 4.0.Β I've asked for assistance a few times and never heard back.
As to all what you stated, hey, I'm hobbyist who just happened to understand what the programming language was, cleaned it up, then kept updating.
I've offered Daz to take my work that I added to this and use it. I make 6 figures a year so I don't need the money, this is a relaxing get away from reality for me, I'd just want like everyone else some recognition for keeping it alive.

Thanks for the answer!
Is the dll modified, then? It doesn't seem to match the one in my directory. I just want to know if I should replace the dll or use the one I have.
I can assure you: Your work is very much appreciated!

To the best of my knowledge and experience its fine. copy and paste over everything, if your copy of studio crashes or computer crashes...sorry not my fault.
I don't own the program, I just futz with it and make the templates, I never touched the rest.

Hi, i installed it like described in the readme and tested it with M7.
I must say, there is no difference to the old original one.
It doesn't affect the "special" bones of Generation 7 too, like the old one doesn't also.
But maybe i missunderstood the sense of this tool.
so for what is it when it is not an update for using for Generation 7 ???

You should see a new graphic for G3M (in fact all the Genesis based figures).Β look at the files in the Powerpose folder.Β
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins\PowerPoseΒ Β
The file Templates.dsxΒ should be date stamped 6/5/2016Β or something from 2016.Β If it isn't...then Windows security stopped you from loading the files.
or
you have second copy of Daz Studio on your system that your are running your copy from.Β (right click on the Icon for what you use to start Studio that will tell you where your working copy of Studio is located)
In either case:Β Looks like I'll need to make visual tutorial for installation.Β A number of people have problems right around the time Studio is updated.Β It's not your fault.Β Daz should have updated this tool 4 years ago...Not someone who is employed bye the Govt. and does this as a hobby. (yes that's my little rant.Β sorry.)

Β and sorry, I didn't make the tool, I've just been keeping it up to date, that should have been Daz's job.

i am a coder too (php) and i am a bit interested in DAZ script (not for the c++ plugin-coding sytem SDK), but for some little tools.
there is an editor for this at sharecg, but didn't test it yet.
can you tell meh how to get the knowledge to code some little tools like yours for DAZ? (not plugins, only scripts)

I just look at the script (open up the dragon template and look), and started to see patterns, cleaned it up and now it's plain and simple to understand (look at the latest Cookie template).
and I'm not a coder far from it.
