thats a fave gorgeous design, great layout, nice typography, looks to me as if you, painted stuff on a piece of paper, scanned it in, then somehow filled in in with a picture,
you up the contrast of the brish strokes or take it into illustrator?

its actually quite close....
I painted a load of stuff on paper, scanned them in and crated a set of brushes (which are available on my stock pages), then used the brushes to paint in the masking layer in Photoshop

and i don't have psp installed at the moment so no chance of a conversion right now.
Though I suppose I could make a greyscale image for you so you can make your own if you wish

Nice cover.. a cover makes me decide whether I should take the book and have a closer look and this is a cover which certainly deserves that closer look! Nice brushing.. the only comment I have concerning not liking some pieces that much are them lines around the text at the right. Nice job nevertheless!
