Drizzle followed close behind her. "Where did you get your costume? I-It's very convincing..."
"You could say that I made it myself," June replied as they were near the entrance of the spring house.
"Woah... T-That's very impressive!"
"Thank you," she opened the door and entered into a darkened halway. A few of the drakens and nyulops gave her odd looks and while others avoided her entirely.
"Why are they so scared of a costume...?" He said noticing the frightened children.
"They're not scared, they're just surprised. It happens," She opened the door to her room which seemed a lot bigger than usual. Drizzle looked around. He suddenly felt very anxious and something in the back of his head kept telling him this was a horrible idea.
"Don't be shy, come one in," she insisted.
His ears drooped and he backed up slightly, "I-I'm not sure this is a good idea..."
"But what about wanting to impress Thea?" She tilted her head and frowned.
His ears perked back up and he nodded, "Alright... if you're positive it will impress her."
"Then come in," she was still holding the door open. Drizzle looked back for a moment before he stepped into the room.
She slowly closed the doors as it creaked. Her room seemed to be littered with stuffing and shreds of fabric on the floor. Old, worn out dolls hung on the wall like a trophy case. There were red stains on the two beds of her room as well as on a few of the dolls. Drizzle's ears fell once more and he looked back at June uneasy and frightened. The only light came from the candles on the desks in front of a small window.
"Ready for your costume?" Her voice got deeper and seemed to sound echo in the eerie cave of a room . June slowly pulled out one of the many needles that were pushed into her neck. Drizzle stumbled back. How he hadn't noticed the various pins and needles sticking into her earlier was a mystery to him. But one thing was crystal clear, that wasn't a costume. He slowly made his way back to the door.
"Oh, won't be going anywhere doll," Just like the sharp object in her paw, June pulled out a single purple thread from her fabric-like skin and threaded the needle. The action in turn panicked Drizzle as he tried to escape, twisting the doorknob. His eyes widened and he tried desperately to open the door to no avail for it was locked.
"You seem broken, let me fix you up." June was now standing right behind him. Drizzle quickly turned around and pressed his back against the wall, his breathing and heart beats becoming sporadic.
She moved the needle closer and closer to his head. Drizzle immediately fell to the ground and curled up, hiding his face before June drove the needle into his back, almost reaching his spine.
He cried out in pain and immediately uncurled, tears forming in the corners of his eyes.
"Silly me, I forgot that i need to cut out all the unnecessary pieces," she drew out a large sharp knife that was even longer than the needle she had before.
Drizzle whimpered and stands to all fours and runs off across the room.
"Where do you think your going," she said, slowly turning her head around.
Drizzle looked ahead and noticed the window on the other side of the room.
He bolted for it.
June creepily and oddly haltingly walked towards him, as Drizzle jumped on the table, knocking over the fire. He climbed up onto the window seal and tries to throw open the window. He heard June coming closer and shook his head before pressing the window open slightly.
June only smiled wider as her still, stoic mouth released a thought "What;s wrong? Don't you wanna play?"
