I buy toys for my toys... and I bought this Aqua Unit Griffon for my Optimus Revoltech so he wouldn't be outnumbered by my vast amount of Decepticons... However... the Griffon didn't look as feminine from the pictures I ordered it from... upon opening the box however... I felt like I just bought Optimus a Mail Order Bride. XD Its a pretty little thing... bitchin legs, thin waist, delicate little hands.... LOVE the Rabbit eared head.... its even got a rather nice RACK. XDRelated content

I was thinking of buying the griffon toy so I had to ask, is he really pose-able the way the pictures on the back of the box look? Good articulation?

No. He's Pretty... but I can't get either of mine to stand on their own. and even with the stand they are so heavy they tilt so you can't even have them in a decent flying pose. Pffffft... so currently my Aqua Unit Griffon is using my Botcon Kre-o Optimus's box as a chair and my Police Unit Griffon I am using his wings to prop him up against a keyboard. Their arms don't move much either. They don't have as much freedom of movement as the Transformers Revoltechs. I slightly regret getting them. They are pretty though. But out of the Patlabor Revoltechs the Zero Unit one I have seems to be the only one that doesn't disappoint me. He can stand on his own even with his big ass shield attached to his arm. Which he can have raised in the air and not lose balance. The two Griffin Units... yeah... I can't pose for shit unless its in a sitting position or propped up against something. So if you are just lookin for something pretty to add to a collection they are nice... but if you want something functional I don't recommend either of the Griffin Units. I plan to try out some more Revoltechs from different series. We'll see if I can find some nicer ones to play with.

WOW, bummer. My favorite toys are the ones which I can make stand on one foot and do crazy positions, both being japanese toys, so I was really thinking the griffon would be good. What a disappointment. He is pretty though! Thank you so much!

I'm familiar with Patlabor. This thing whips ASS. I've also used it and seen it used for an original research unit in several Gundam RPG's I've been in. Good choice, Peanut. Indeed. I feel bad for Griffon.

Oh dear... At least that mail-order bride thing isn't limited to certain of my co-workers. ...Granted, the Griffon unit *is* spaz-tastic, and it's got the really slick figure proportions that you always use anyway, regardless of the subject's gender. (I mean that as a compliment!)

I never seen the show Griffon came from. I ordered Ingram though. But I also ordered the Police Unit Griffon... XD So... guess Prime is still outnumbered.

I am lookin for Rodimus and Ultra Magnus. They are the last Revoltech Transformers I don't have yet. However, they are currently a little pricey. So going to wait and buy them later... Also want to get a cheap Starscream to turn into Thundercracker... cuz I have a custom Skywarp to go with my Starscream... but two seekers out of three is just silly. XD

The Griffon is from something called Patlabor. I love Revoltechs and so when I saw this figure... I loved the shape of it. The Police version is even better than this one. As this has two HUGE water turbines that attach to its back since it is the Aqua Unit version. The Police Unit version has Wings!
