Description What do you fear little one?

Back when me and some college friends decided to play some Evil Within for the first time, I gotta say this is the first horror game that truly
gave me chills playing. Especially when I reached Chapter 9, when Ruvik would show up when you least expect it. It had me very paranoid.
I do not own The Evil Within, all property is copyrighted to Shinji Mikami. This is only fan art.

Here is some other Evil Within fan art that I have done.

The one we're all scared shitless of, but we all agree that he's the best villain TEW has ever seen.  To be honest, I wondered how they were going to top the horrors Ruvik created in the initial STEM when I heard the words "Evil Within 2" used in the same phrase.  Stefano was a great call back to what Ruvik might have been viewed as if he sought attention through his macabre brain experiments, i.e. a gratuitous and depraved serial killer, but no one can ever truly replace him as the leading cause of players losing their shit while playing these two games.
The burns, the determined eyes and calculated smile, and the exposed brain... all captured so well.

Thank you very much.
I was hoping that when The Evil Within 2 was announced that Ruvik would be able to return. It would've been great if there was a Ruvik boss
when fighting Theodore.
Yes, Stefano was a great villain in the sequel. When I was playing the game I was more on edge when Stefano was the main threat in the first
half of the game. Though the first game will forever be the scariest in the series.

Part of me died inside when I saw Theodore step up as the true villain of the game.  Stefano was more than enough for me; I was fascinated with his artwork, as well as disturbed/angry by how he antagonized Lily and jovial at how he taunted and clashed with Sebastian.  I recall that there was a call back to the Psychopath and to Ruvik in the final encounter between Sebastian and Theodore (Myra?)... it's just hard to recall what he looked like with updated models and graphics.

Same here, I would have preferred it if Stefano was the main villain. Since he had Lily in his grasp, and Theodore didn't. Plus they didn't show Theodore
as much in the game, and Stefano had more of an appearance. As I played the game it made me think that Theodore was a last minute villain that they threw in.
I just couldn't take the guy seriously.
Stefano had a better backstory as well, war photographer gone psycho. Fucking genius!
Another thing, I don't think Stefano knew that Lily is Sebastian's daughter. If he did, I could only imagine how else he could torment Sebastian.

Mm-hm.  So typical of a zealot seeking to control minds, and can already do so through persuasive rhetoric and verbal abuse, to abuse the power of STEM.   Wake me up when it's over.
Stefano held my attention from the moment he first stepped into frame, both the frames of the in-game camera and for his own Veritas model camera.  As far as I could tell, and because Sebastian didn't mention her identity to "blend in" to Union, Stefano knew nothing of Lily's importance to the interloper philistine who was unwilling to see past physical space, into the realm of the symbolic and artistic.   The torment would be increased tenfold if he found out, although I will admit that Theodore did a great job of playing to Sebastian's guilt with that information.

I was showing my friend Brianna how to play the game, and Ruvik came at the worse possible time.
She didn't know where to go when I told her to run, she pulls up the inventory menu, she thought that
was the pause.

I was freaking out more than she was, and I said in these exact words. "Gah!!! F***ing unpause this shit...*screams the F word*"
Ruvik was right behind her! As I pressed the options button on the PS4.
If Ruvik was real, he would be laughing of how terrified we were.

I actually had it all caught on video.

I threw my controller over my shoulder and pouted, arms crossed and all XD

Bet he chuckles in amusement. "What do you fear little one?" says Ruvik as he
slowly walks towards you, with a sinister smirk on his face.
