He is also a generous young man, and has no problems whatsoever in sharing or landing a hand to friends and strangers. Just as he is kind, he is also very quick-witted, and is able to make swift and rational decisions to minimise people's discomfort or worry. Haru is a man of wit just as well, and his humorous tendencies are one of his shining traits.

However, only very few people truly know that he can be extremely two-faced as well. Haru is a master of pretentious acts, that can come to good use in gaining favour of people. He knows how to use people to his advantage, if he ever needs their help, and knows how to hide his true intentions. He can also be childishly stubborn at times, such as not wanting to shut up or not wanting to eat his vegetables. B.C.「 before chaos 」Most of the neighbours would tell you that the Ashikaga household was a warm place.
It was a small family, as they only had a son, but their family love was strong and unyielding.
Their son was named Haru, as he was born in the first day of spring;
a beautiful baby boy, a beautiful season, a beautiful name.

The family owned a dojo below their home, open for all children to learn the magnificence of martial arts.
The instructors were the Ashikaga parents themselves, and their son their loveable student.
Together with the other children, they would learn, laugh, bond, and create memories together.
In this futuristic city, where technology ruled over, the dojo was their little getaway;
a simple haven where tradition was still accepted, loved, and enjoyed freely by all.
However, that little fantasy was short lived.

The city was in havoc, the streets were flooded with riots, crime lurked in every corner.
After the sudden passing of their beloved leader, everything was in mayhem,
and the family's little utopia was destroyed.
Haru's mother, oh so elegant and lovely, a woman of power and beauty, had disappeared.
Rumours say she was caught in a street riot, that she was robbed and killed on the spot.
Haru, only 15 at the time, grieved and sorrowed.
But no one's pain could compare to the agony his father had to bear.

In an impulsive act of fury, the dojo was torn apart.
Weapons scattered across the ripped mats, doors were broken and glass were shattered.
From then on, the household grew lonely, cold, quiet.
The dojo's destruction became a yearly routine for Haru's father.
He would fix the doors, the windows, the mats, the frames.
And when the day of his wife's disappearance came;
the dojo would be destroyed once again.

A.C.「 after chaos 」While his father remained stuck in the past, Haru continued with his life.
High school was a fresh new start, and he decided it would be his best distraction.
He made friends, excelled in tests, gained popularity in class,
but there was still a void he has yet to fill.

Upon graduation, Haru continued to find himself a distraction.
Juggling between college, jobs and social life was difficult, but he would pull through,
if it means he can give himself some temporary warmth and joy.
Avoiding the two fighting gangs became a habit of his;
he didn't want his father to bear the pain of losing another family.

However, overhearing a certain conversation fuelled a spark in him.
Two customers had decided to discuss about the major riot from five years ago;
the same riot that his mother had been involved in.
When they gossiped that the rioters had joined Shibui,
Haru decided then and there that he wanted answers.
What did they do to his mother? Was she still alive or did they kill her?

They say a man's mental age was seven years younger than their actual age,
and Haru, being only 13 then, convinced himself that he couldn't avoid the gangs any longer.
Seeking out the Shibui leader was not an issue; he was a popular man, and the ladies loved him,
Haru only needed to ask a few of his lady customers to know where to find him.
If having a goal was a requirement to join the gang, Haru had lots to show.
By joining Shibui, he would be one step closer to finding out what happened to his mother,
and possibly, her killers as well.
