Description
Concept art for a story I'm writing (a graphic novel!). Not sure if it's the MC standing there or not, but I just needed a human to show the size of the place. I'll be posting more concepts in the future, especially character concepts.Hardware:Β Macbook Air + XP-pen Artist 22e pro

Oh... I don't know why, but when I saw it for the first time,
I thought it was a flying library xD Hum, I really like the

I'm sure there is a library somewhere up there xD It is a very peaceful place! But there is also something not right in the city up there... A subject that no one speaks of, except a few! I don't want to spoil too much though haha

Nice work! I always struggle so much with drawing architecture in perspective.
One neutral thing I noticed is that the ground beneath the flying ruins is using a color pallet that has way less variety than the rest of the painting, hue wise.
And one small thing that looks a bit odd is that the shadow beneath the character falls in a slightly different direction than the one of the railing.
Did you use a perspective grid? (Just asking out of curiosity.) ^^

You mean the green? Yeah it does have less hue changes, I didn't think about it until you mentioned it.Β
Oh, I'll fix that shadow! I did not use a grid. I was too lazy to draw one so I just drew a red line as the eye point and then eye measured after that line. So it's not perfect at all XD I almost never draw architecture so this was just a little try that I doodled on in between other pieces. Are there finished grids to use in photoshop or to download somewhere?

If PS doesn't have an option like that you could alternatively use a speedlines vector or a 3D software like Sketchup. ^^

Searched on youtube and it seems there a few quick ways to create a grid ^^ I'll try that next time.
