Description I've been wanting to draw this scene from HP6 ever since I read the book and today I had a couple hours available to knock this out.

I really wasn't thrilled with the movie but I did think the cave was appropriately spooky.

Edit: I just realized I had two entirely different and contradictory perspectives going on here. Fixed now!

Is that Regalus? After reading DH, I always though that he was the Inferi Harry first saw whose hair and robes were swirling around him in the water.

I guess the book says the water is unnaturally still but I like the wave you've put there.you've done it really nice!
you're really talented!

Very nicely spooky! Love the focus on the undead girl in the water, and how you made everything in this shade of green.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled about the movie either. There were several parts that seemed way diluted from the excitement of the book (like the Harry/Ginny kiss scene, for one). And what up with that pointless flirting waitress scene?? Oh well...there were a lot of good parts, too, like the cave scene.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

It seems like a LOT of people thought the movie was so-so. Some good parts, but a lot of not-so-good.

My gosh, it's beautifully creepy. I especially love that Harry and Dumbledore aren't the main focus of this piece, it's very appropriate for this piece. Beautiful!
Have you seen the film yet?

Thank you very much! Yes, I did see the movie. I really liked the cave scene a lot, but I didn't think much about the rest of the movie.

I do agree that a lot of it could have been done better.
The whole ending (minus the cave) had room for improvement

Cool! I think the movie could have been better... Anyway, the cave was pretty scary, and look like the river of the dead from Greek mithology. ;D

Thanks! I agree the movie could have been better--it seems a lot of people think so too.

Thanks for pointing out the similarity between the cave and the River Styx! I never noticed that before! It's so fitting.

This. Is. Kick Ass. This is completely how I imagined it in the book. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm glad to hear that this part was good. Although from the trailer, the inferi don't really look how I imagined them... :S

Thanks! I thought the movie did a decent job with the Inferi, but you're right--it really wasn't how I imagined them. I hope you enjoy the movie when you get to see it!

This is amazing. One of my favourite parts in the books, I truly think this is the most frightening scene besides the graveyard in book 4. The picture is marvellous, it really shows how scary that lake is. And how huge. You're so insanely talented.

I agree--this part of the book scared me senseless, which I thought was fun because books never really creep me out. I'm glad you like the picture! That means a lot coming from you, since I'm such a fan of your work!

Thanks! It's always a thrill to draw something that someone thinks looks just like how they imagined it. I think imaginations are always much more frightening than anything a movie can show.
