He always knew what they said was right: play with fire and you will get burned. Somehow, he always thought he would be the one doing the burning. But, as the air between them heated to a light steam and her tears glittered in the setting sun, it seemed today the young Fire Lord was about to be scarred again. Only this time, not by fire, but by ice.

*facepalm* Now I wish I spent more time on the sketch , because most of the 'really wrong' parts of this pic lay in the base illustration. (if you're curious about the transformation, look at the sketch to see how far it came to the finished product). Experimenting in digital painting again, without lines.

My first Zutara (ZukoxKatara) fanart. First, and probably not last, though I screamed and tore at my hair for this one (anyone else think Katara is a *insertbadword* to draw/color, and Zuko's no bed of roses either?) Still...I can't help but giggle at this. And the giggling has absolutely nothing to do with Zutara-fangirling. It has everything to do with their expressions. Aren't they just funny? I think so. Really, I do.

I don't draw kisses very often. Actually, strike that. They're not even kissing. They're "almost-kissing." There's something in leaving it up to the imagination.
