Description *Day 27 - The actual legend surrounding the chupacabra is honestly really sad, so rather than staying true to the myth I decided on a Pokemon concept that preyed on grazing animals as a whole. It hides itself among the grass wafting its sticky-sweet nectar into the air. When a Pokemon wanders too close, it springs its spiked arms close and bites through the skin with its tough beak, lapping up its meal from the wound. Smaller creatures can be sucked dry by this Pokemon. Based on Drosera plants, the bleeding tooth fungus, vampire bats, vampire squids, the 'land-walking octopus' Abdopus aculeatus, bear traps, iron maidens, and the Deer Woman (a Native American mythological creature)

Day 28 - I decided to theme the legendaries for this Fakeathon on Japan and its culture, as a homage to the country that brought us Pokemon. It is rife with social commentary, so fair warning to those of you who are averse to that sort of topic. Based on Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (the Sword of the Imperial Regalia of Japan), shikigami, Sengoku-jidai, jidaimono kabuki (Japanese plays about historical events), the red thread of fate, kamikaze (the two monsoons that destroyed the attempted Mongolian invasions of the Japanese islands), samurai, and rice fields. Represents the past of Japan.
