Description Good day, Noir here! Today I'm unveiling the regional cat Pokemon, but rather basing them on domesticated cats, I decided to move into a more wild territory. I also wanted to highlight an underappreciated type combination with this submission. I hope you like it!

I would like to give thanks to everyone who checked out my last upload , thank you for giving it a chance! At any rate, I hope you enjoy my content, leave a comment if it suits you, and I'll see you all very soon!

-------------------
DESCRIPTIONS
-------------------
Name | Species | Type | Abilities | Height | Weight | Description

Feebungle | Forest Cat Pokemon | Grass | Overcoat, Klutz, Overgrow (Hidden) | 2'04", 0.71 m | 9.3 lbs, 4.2 kg | A wildcat Pokemon found in the sparsely populated high-altitude forests of the region. It practices its hunting by playing with bugs, too afraid to fight anything larger.

Ailuroth | Forest Cat Pokemon | Grass/Ice | Overcoat, Limber, Shockproof (Hidden) | 3'11", 1.19 m | 17.9 lbs, 8.1 kg | An expert climber, this Pokemon surveys the underbrush from its perch up in the branches. When it finds a suitable target, it pounces from the treetops and slams them to the ground.

Savaddon | Maul Cat Pokemon | Grass/Ice | Overcoat, Limber, Shockproof (Hidden) | 5'06", 1.67 m | 86.6 lbs, 39.3 kg | When approaching its den, the first thing you will hear is the 'rattle' from its waving tail, clacking the ice crystals against each other. Messing with their family is a one way ticket to the emergency ward.

NEW ABILITY: Shockproof - The Pokémon is protected by shatter-resistant material, which halves the damage taken from Fighting- and Rock-type moves.

(The real-world inspiration and justification of this idea is pykrete: a stable, slow-melting, concrete-like form of ice mixed with sawdust.)

DESIGN & CONCEPT
--------------------------

These Pokemon are based on a variety of animals in the family Felidae, this includes everything from domesticated cats (especially 'semi-wild' breeds such as the Savannah and the Bengal; as well as the Maine Coon and the Norwegian forest cat), wildcats, lynxes, servals, caracals, big cats (lions, jaguars, snow leopards), and extinct taxa such as Smilodon (S. fatalis, S. populator, S. gracilis).

Additionally, some Australian flourishes to this Pokemon also include: the quoll, the Tasmanian devil, and the Tasmanian tiger; three carnivorous marsupials which body sizes, appearance and temperaments follow this Pokemon evolutionary line. Their hunting style follows the myth of the 'drop-bear,' a so-called carnivorous koala that drops on your head from the treetops. Lastly, their designs (in particular Savaddon with its flattened wooden tail) celebrate the sport of cricket, a national favourite!

Abstract themes for this Pokemon is entertainment, with large emphasis on the court jester. They also cover related concepts such as circuses and royal menageries (you can think of them as the king or queen's personal zoo) as well as the Roman pastime of gladiatorial combat against wild animals. Panem et circenses, as they say.

FEEBUNGLE: A rather large cat Pokemon compared to others, it nevertheless has a skittish temperament and quick to flee. They live out in the cloud forests in the northern reaches of the region, living under the care of their pack. They typically inhabit the underbrush, playing with each other and tossing around, while their guardians look on from above. They also serve an unintentional benefit to their pack: spooking small prey out of a bush with their playful antics, snagging the group an extra meal. These Pokemon are based on many small cats, domesticated and wild, as well the quoll, a small but fierce marsupial predator found all over Australia. It has a short tail, similar to those seen on lynxes and bobcats, made out of individuals leaves. Their shining blue eyes was inspired from cats' 'shiny eyes,' due to a layer in the back of their eyes called the tapetum lucidum. Its coloration is a straightforward lime green and dark green, with blue mittens signalling their future secondary typing. In theming, these Pokemon represents childlike wonder and imaginative play, the most pure form of personal amusement and entertainment.

AILUROTH: Ailuroth is a lone hunter, apparently rebelling against their parents and their overprotectiveness to cut their own path in life. It is known for being highly aggressive, attacking even people. Fortunately for us, its sabre fang isn't sharp enough to pierce skin: it is actually meant to crush the larynx of small animals to stop them from breathing. It apparently has no sense of self-preservation or tactics. However, this reckless bravery slowly allowed humans to domesticate them, by simply offering them food in exchange for not attacking them. When threatened, this Pokemon can cause sharp ice crystals to jut out of its own body, making it appear much larger than it is. This Pokemon is based on slightly larger wild cats such as lynxes, caracals and servals; and combined with the Tasmanian devil from which hyper-aggression is modeled after. It has a long vine tail it uses as a defensive measure, able to produce sharpened icicles from it to deal more damage to its attacker. Its single ice sabre fang is meant to show its dangerous, but goofy, nature. Its coloration is similar to its previous stage, with added tufts of white fur growing at various places to keep it warm in the cold environments it inhabits. Thematically, this Pokemon represents sports and hunting: two outdoors pastimes common since ancient times until today, engaging growing minds with a more productive output for their energy.

SAVADDON: While almost never seen out in the wilderness, one can be almost 100% sure that a Savaddon is watching them at all times while in the region's northern cloud forests. They are wise Pokemon, however, and have never attacked a human unprovoked at any point in history. Instead, reports of their attacks always happened due to irresponsible people either goading them to attack or hurting their cubs. They hunt at night, preying on the tired or sleeping creatures of the jungle, before bringing it back to its treetop den. When it's time to feed its young ones, it will roar loudly, and Feebungles stop playing and come clawing their way up the trees for their meal. For its design, this Pokemon's large teeth were inspired by the genus Smilodon, the 'true' saber-toothed tigers. Its long tail was taken from a snow leopard, combined with features of the macuahuitl, an Aztec club weapon with prismatic obsidian blades. This Aztec connection is strengthened with its arboreal tendencies: similar to a jaguar, which the Aztecs held in reverence (look up jaguar warriors). It has a frilled mane which can open up to make itself appear larger; or for it to use as a sun reflector for its lengthy afternoon nap/sun-bathing sessions. Coloration of this Pokemon is much darker than its previous stages which gives it a more panther-like appearance, in order to complement its night-stalker behavior. The addition of brown is meant to signify tree bark, showing just how tough it is despite its lithe appearance. Its back stripes are reminiscent on the stripes on the Tasmanian tiger a.k.a. the thylacine, a sadly extinct carnivorous marsupial. Theme-wise, this Pokemon is meant to represent the court jester, a costumed 'fool' who is employed to provide entertainment to the court; as well as menageries: a collection of captive animals of the crown to be shown off to other aristocrats as a sign of their immense wealth.

PSA: These Pokemon are meant to shed light on the treatment of wild animals and animals in captivity, and the respect that they deserve. Thankfully, nowadays we are educated from an early age to respect wild animals' dignity and their right to share our world; and to ensure their survival. they also look like the cactus cat which is a fearsome critters  are a creature that was said, typically by lumberjacks, to inhabit the frontier wilderness of North America during the 20th century. These creatures, primarily subjects of campfire stories used to pass time or haze newcomers, were often characteristically more comical than frightening and usually lacked a descriptive appearance.
