Varaha is an avatar of the god Vishnu, in the form of a boar, the third of ten Avatars. This sculpture is from the 10th Century, from what is now Madhya Pradesh, it is very unusual to find one in this good shape.Currently on display at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya.
