Description "I don’t underrate the value of military knowledge, but if men make war in slavish obedience to rules, they will fail. Look back over the past, with its changing empires that rose and fell, and you can foresee the future, too."

While not the best-armored nor the best-armed tank of The Second World War. The Sherman tanks have fought alongside American, British, Canadian, Russian, Chinese and more throughout the war. It is indeed my favorite tank from World War II.

In 1945 after the German's surprise offensive in the Ardennes, Allied forces push through the forest and assault on The Siegfried Line for the 2nd time. This time with the weakened German resistance means that the Allies push through with ease. Captain Katsuwa and his rangers, battle-hardened. Are now coming closer to the Rhine River, The last defense for the Third Reich, soon the war in Europe will come to an end...

The tank drawn here are M4 Sherman tanks, specifically M4A1E8 90W 'Sandy' Medium Tank and M4 105W 'Buster' Assault Tank, 2 of 7 main tanks in Pento's company. In my WW2 story. Pento commands Able Company of US Army 2nd Rangers Battalion. I have more than one characters for WW2 and I would like to share on the later date. (Some of which you already know if you're long-time watchers)

The drawing took 4 days to draw and inspired by Sherman tanks drawings and screenshots on Deviantart plus I just got back to World of Tanks. So if there some of you who want to play with me go ahead. I'm on the SEA server and have tanks up to tier 8. The IGN is PentoKatsuwa. If you're in the EU or NA server... tough luck. Maybe when War Thunder fix the malware shenanigans, I'll go back to play it again.

Next up is something for June 6. If you're a History Buff, you know what I'll be working on. Until then, I'll see you around.

Special thanks to GreyTheGreat, Elliott The Fox, Drako Wulf, Nicole Mandie and Peggy for allowing me to use their fursonas in the art. And especially SimonSeville1500  for history, quotes and proofreading this post.

I use CLIP Studio Paint EX for all of my artwork.

'M4A1E8 90W' is an interesting idea for a Sherman tank!
Have you heard of the M36B1? It is basically the real world version!

The m4 as far as all around statistics was kind of trash compared to German and Russian armor. It couldn't pen anything, it had no armor, it didn't have a long range etc. The only reason it did pretty well was because it was reliable, easy to manufacture, and we had about 10 Sherman's for every one Tiger so good job America.

But Sherman tank is the second best medium during WW2 (First one is T34)
Even though these two types of tank suffered a huge loses during ww2 but this is still the truth.
M4 Sherman can pen Panzer4 PanzerIII and II
But after they faced Panther tiger tank they upgraded quickly and M4A3E2 , M4 (76) , M4A2 (76) , M4A3 (76 M4E8 appeared.
As you said Sherman tank is reliable. Tankers can fix them really quick, the engine is good and the turret can upgrade 105mm gun.
Early Sherman tank is trash but as a whole this tank is amazing.

Nah. First, I'm on the South East Asia server. Second, I don't play one of these games anymore, too time-consuming.

This is excellent, I'm impressed by how you gave a ton of character not just to the animals, but to the tanks as well. I'm never into Furry stuff, but this is amazing work.

Nope, I like tanks way before that movie came out. the logs on the side of the tank are the only inspiration tho. After I found out why it's there(It's not additional armor btw)

To be truthful when I saw FURY and seeing what tanks can really do with a good crew, I have a newfound respect for tanks. And I believe that in war, luck can come in all shapes, forms and sizes, in the most extreme of examples of luck, not a single Irish UN soldier died in the Siege of Jadotsville, both in the memoirs and the film.

Amazing work with this scene! The beautiful soft, dim lighting and fog really gives the scene a convincing bleak and ominous atmosphere!

Another amazing piece of art! The final campaigns to and over the Rhine are somewhat forgotten in that most people assume that after the Battle of the Bulge it was a cakewalk for the Allies. I personally enjoy reading about Operation Varsity, the last and larges Allied Airborne operation in Europe where the British, Canadian and American Paratroopers jumped the Rhine and paved the way for General Montgomery's invasion of central Germany. Great work!

Oh Yeah? If so where are all the players? go tell Gaijin to fix their Battle-rating bullshit first. I'm sick and tired of tier "2" meeting tier "3" tanks. and the old 10 tier system is better.

I have tier V Tanks and jets so

I will admit that gaijin does have a lot of problems, however the game itself is still really fun
as for Tier 2 and 3, those are actually the most balanced portions of the game because tier V you get anal from ATGMs and the IS-6. I've always found that the lower tiers are far more balanced than top tier

Kv-2 is still the god at all tiers

I agree the Sherman tank is my favorite ww2 tank. the Sherman tank is a true work horse and a tank modifiers dream. its a tank that can still fight with the best of them. the tank crews of these tanks are real heroes especially the older model Sherman tanks. the most modern updated version of the Sherman tank are the M-50 and M-51's. the M-51's being the latest and last version of these "super Sherman" with its updated main gun, armor and equipment proved its self capable of dealing with the newer soviet built T-54s,T-55s, and T-62 main battle tanks. its new gun also allowed it to use HEAT ammo. but they were slowly phased out by the early 1980s sadly.

The M-51 is regarded as an excellent example of how an obsolete tank (the original Sherman) can be upgraded beyond the limits of its original capabilities.

Awesome picture man and I already know what the next one is about but I wont spoil it cause were history buffs. o7.
