The Greatest Game You've Never Played.Let me share a little love with you.
Gitaroo Man is one of my favourite games of all time, and sadly, I've never met anyone who's played it. It's a really quirky game that means a whole bunch to me, with awesome music, and some really sweet motivationals. The little quotes are adorable, and it is a pure underdog story about music, love, and rocking for justice.
This piece was inspired by my favourite song from the game, The Legendary Theme. [link]
It's a song about freedom and justice, long forgotten by the Gravillions who use music for war and power.
It's not just rocking, it's rocking for freedom. For justice. Call me silly, but that just really touches my core.
SPOILERS but not really kinda U-1/Gitaroo Man refuses to fight his love in GITAROO ARENAAA and stands upto the evil and corruption of Zowie and Planet Gitaroo by BUSTIN' OUT THIS SONG. So Kirah still fights him even though he's ignoring her for justice, and when she realises she cannot faze him with her assault... she joins in. In the most epic and soul-lifting harmony ever. It's just the whole, nod-to-each-other thing before blasting out a rockin' duet... Back to back, saving the world! ;A; It's so... beautiful! D: It makes my heart swell! This probably doesn't mean anything to you guys, but for some reason it's really personal to me. So... I hope you enjoy, and not think I'm insane.

Just from the gameplay cutscene, due to the control scheme, it looks like a Ps2 game, if I'm not mistaken, which seems pretty awesome.
While it's no excuse for not having played the game, I just got a Ps2 last year so I'm destined to some day play this.
Now to your drawing, having not played the game I can't really say, but from that clip I'd say you capture the essence of how guitaroo man would look if the character designers had taken a more animesc less chibi approach, and I like it, keep up the good work

It is originally a PS2 game! It also got a PSP release called Gitaroo Man Lives! with a bunch of extra stuff too c: Anyway, you have to let me know what you think if you try it! ^ ^

I know alot about koei and yes what i had played of it was fun and original! I can read most of it, learning japanese and kanji isn't easy to do but its very cool you made the effort to do that, many don't! Hey, it isn't about how long it takes but how it looks when the job is done and i have this to say cho kakuii! (very cool!) i hope you draw more fan art so i can go 'gotcha' nostalgia!' and generally say something japanese along the way anyways odaijini itsu mo nakama! X
