Description I've finally had a chance to upload the pictures I took of my new display setup. I'm pretty happy with most of it - just have to tweak a couple of things and it'll be perfect. I'll eventually replace the steps with another wood display piece since I love the way the bamboo wood looks with my miniatures.

Photo 1: Overall shot, including the lovely tablecloth my grandmother made for me. It really stood out against all the other tables that were dressed in white, black, or dark brown. It certainly made my table pop.

Photo 2: All the miniature drinks I made for the show. There are some I hadn't had a chance to photograph, so I will be doing that when I have some time leftover. I did sell quite a bit of them by the end of the show.

Photo 3: Prep boards! You've seen a couple of them, but I made a few more that I need to post here. They are all going to end up on Etsy when I have the time.

Photo 4: Coke, Milk and Cookies, Beer and Pretzels, Espresso, Ice Cream Cups, Lemonade, and Bubble Tea.

Photo 5: 3 Tier Dessert tray (with chocolates, chocolate cookies and meringues, jam thumbprint cookies and petit fours), 2 glass cookie jars, a Tea Sandwich tray (cucumber sandwiches on top, tomato and radish sandwiches on the bottom), a small dessert tray (petit fours, chocolates, and more thumbprint cookies), a jar of gumballs, a jar of old fashioned candies, a small metal tray of chocolates, and another dessert tray filled with chocolates and chocolate roses.

Photo 6: A summer picnic set with hamburger and hot dog buns, burgers and hot dogs, cheese, a bowl of lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and two cups of coke with ice.

Photo 7: A cheese serving tray with all my cheese trays, champagne and caviar tray, and a fruit bowl. I really like this piece. All but the white wine tray will be put on Etsy soon-ish.

Photo 8: Pretty much everything that wasn't cakes, breads, or produce. Yes, those are retro TV dinners in the back.

Photo 9: Cakes and cupcakes, bread, fruits, and veggies, plus my bakers rack. I made some more peeled oranges as well as lemons, plus some lemon and orange halves.

Photo 10: Assorted Easter baskets, a pancake breakfast tray, gingerbread house, a basket with cheese, bread, and a wine bottle, and a vegetable basket.

Photo 11: All 1:24 scale foods plus some drinks. The little yellow and orange dots are 1:24 scale lemon and orange halves.

Photo 12: Assorted sandwiches, pizzas, and on the trays are all my 1:48 foods. I didn't get a chance to photograph the 1:48 goblets I'd found at a club sale, and I'm sad about that since I've never seen any since then. They were teeny and held only a tiny drop of resin in each.

Overall, the show was a big success - even better than Boca. I met a lot of very nice people and got some great feedback on my items and display. It seems I've finally nailed 1:12 scale.

Too bad there are no more shows until January. Now I'll be changing from miniatures to convention related items like jewelry and charms.

It is beyond amazing to me how you captured the tiny, little details on every single piece of food. The bread looks like bread, the drinks look like drinks. I cannot wrap my head around the skills and patience that you have in order to make these mini works of food art. Many props to you!Β

I think if I tried to make all those little crafts I would go insane and have a muscle spasm from trying to get the details down lol. It's such fine work and such scrutinizing detail, that's what really makes it amazing to me at least. Even though to me, it's not something I would do anything with or get any kind of enjoyment out of, that definitely doesn't take away from the fact I know how much work you probably put into making all these. Good stuff ^^ I won't spam you with comments, but I feel the same way about all the other things you've uploaded on here and made. I'm more of a werewolf person and the only reason I'm on this website, but I think this one time I will make an exception and +watch you. Seeing things made 1:12 their normal size with this level of detail is very amusing

Thank you very much. When I started out, it was a lot more difficult to stare at such small things for long periods of time. You get used to it eventually though! And I appreciate you saying you can see how much time goes into making them. People tend to forget that when I price them that it takes me 2-3 hours depending on the piece to finish, and that it's not some pre-bought plastic little thing from China or where ever.

Thanks for the watch! Took a peek at your page. Noticed the worgen screenshot. Had to comment because I just made a worgen and they're awesome.

I don't get what all these little foods are for..

Dolls? Maybe.....

Sorry if I'm being mean.... but, I truly don't know what else to use them for but dolls.

You're not mean. They are mainly used for dollhouses or roomboxes.

Oh my gosh those are so beautiful! I have a quick question, though. Where do you get the little clear cups from? I looked on ebay and Amazon and the only thing I found were $20 for just one. I just wanted to know if you could let me know? Thanks, they are all very amazing! ^u^

PepperTreeArt In reply to BeppasCreations [2013-08-13 17:11:11 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I buy them from a wholesale supply store online, but I do resell them in my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/BonAppetEats…

Definitely a lot lower in price than $20 for 1!

Wow! It's really different to see them all assorted on a table like that. We know they're small when their photographed next to a dime, but to see them in a 'in person' vantage, I can really see just how tiny they all are. Wonderful work!

BTW, about how much time would you estimate you spend on this whole collection?

PepperTreeArt In reply to DKillustrations [2013-06-26 12:25:47 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much! Β If I had to guess, it'd probably be 4-5 months of work. I did quite a bit of it in the weeks leading up to the show.

Thank you! I was trying to keep it as open as possible. The next show I'll snap a picture of the vendors around me to show their displays - most of which are so packed with stuff it's a bit hard to stare at it for any length of time.
