Description

So here's a piece I drew months ago, but held back when the holiday were kicking in for the rest of 2021.

These were some OCs I had in my mind back in the mid 2000s when I was into Danny Phantom. While these were characters I came up with, I never actually drew them as that was during that time I lost interest in drawing thanks to middle school. I also never shared these as that was the time everyone at school was into edgy shows at the time and not into cartoons anymore, which was a bad time for me. And I did thought on drawing them when I joined here, but I wasn't into the show anymore and I didn't know how the draw them. But after drawing my last piece, I thought on drawing them out. Also, I'm sorry if they don't look good as expected, I think they were better in my head.

Anyway, these OCs were either versions of Danny Phantom that were from either another universe or an evil knockoff. The reason why I did this was because I was into Spider-Man at the time (which was also the inspiration of Danny Phantom) and the 90s cartoon ended with that version of Spidey meeting other versions. And I thought "If Spider-Man can, why can't Danny Phantom?". I was also into making evil counterparts of cartoon characters at the time, which is why you see the two below.

The first one was another version of Danny who like the real one got his ghost powers from a freak accident, expect he was the smart one. As for why he has a pumpkin head, well it's kinda complicated. In his universe, he was able to have the ghost portal also visit other universes, and he saw at one time that his counterpart was sick (this was around the time that genie episode happened) and he didn't want him to flunk out of school, so he traveled to that universe and took his place until the real Danny got better. That changed when a freak accident happened during class that made his head turned into a pumpkin. He was humiliated by this that he turned into villainy as he thinks the universe isn't good and wants to change it. He would clash with the real Danny after some students told him about what happened, but their ideals weren't compatible that he swore that'll change the world for the better. He's basically if Vlad from the show was mashed up with Jack from "Billy and Mandy" (which is another show I was into at the time). I'm no sure how he'll it into the timeline, but I assume it'll be after the finale as Pumpkin-headed Danny kinda sounds like another Vlad if you think about it.

The other OC is Metal Danny Phantom, which is based after Metal Sonic as this was when I was into the Sonic OVA around the same time. The original backstory was that he was created by Pumpkin-headed Danny, but I thought it was too complicated. So I changed it to him being some Vlad made (I know DragonRex1 had this same idea, but I wanted this to be more different). In that backstory, Vlad wanted to find a way to mimic Danny Phantom's moves, so he thought on building a robot, but the problem is that the robot copy can't mimic his moves or counter them. So Vlad decided harvest Danny's DNA and make the robot copy to mimic his move, which he dubs "Metal". Despite being a success, Vlad ultimately was fixated on the project that he wanted to go further, which lead him to actually make clones of Danny Phantom which happened in season two. Because of this, Vlad never used Metal to compete with Danny was offline. Then after the finale, Danny and his friends decided to see what Vlad had in his mansion as the stuff was being sold due to him being exposed and they found out the prototype that Vlad created. It was activated by accident and the robot was going to attack Danny Phantom as he sees him as a threat.

So the concept is that Metal needs to be powered by Danny's DNA sample in order to mimic the powers he has and also to counteract them. I know a lot of people did their own takes of that concept, but the problem is that they are lacking on what mad Metal Sonic unique, in which Metal wasn't made to be stronger than Sonic, but rather be on the same equal. And I felt like the other interpretations felt like he was too bulky and can't be as agile as the real Danny Phantom. I also made him be symmetrical, which was kinda the reason I didn't want to draw him out as he looked a bit odd.
