Description Here`s my first deviation

I chose this simple drawing because it says some initial things about me. I like to observe. I like to learn from the complexity of what`s "simply" around me in everyday life. Especially when it comes to learning to draw. And ink. And I love to ink. In the traditional way.

This is (just?) a little exercise I did last year but I hope you find it interesting.

Very good, when I saw the thumbnail for it, I first thought it was a stingray, hehe.

I like the shadows of the leaf. They are realistic.

Thank you.
The idea was that since the universe and the "things" it`s made out of are so various and rich the best source of inspiration (apart from visions and dreams) is to observe it... the patterns, the details...

Thank you

Yeah, I guess real life drawing can really help for those.
We are surrounded by such great textures/compositions
observation can be so useful

nice "first impression" of you ; it shows that you are skilled with the ink.

Thank you for the compliments and the effort to comment! Well yes, ink is one of the art techniques that I enjoy most and am able to do rather spontaneously and learn ... fast.

I like how this seems to be pulling off of the page. Very unique perspective!

nice work, working with ink is tricky sometimes. theres no undo button or eraser but its one of my favorite mediums. Nicely done

Thank you.

It`s true, especially for bigger pieces, like cartoon pages,
it can get frustrating to keep the concentration on maximum ALL THE TIME because any little thing can ruin hours and hours of work.
But it`s nice, the flow of the ink, the feeling of the surface of the paper, the organicity, the physicality of it, and there are some traits, some lines, some drops, some shadows, some shapes that you can`t get by other means like computer.
