This photo reminds me of a fairy quietly sleeping the day away. There is something close to home and at the same time otherworldly. She is a beautiful model and you captured her well.

i know i'm commenting late on this one, but i was just pawing through your gallery and this stood out to me. it's got such a sweet, fairy-like quality to it, and the tones are so rich. beautifully taken!

btw love that background - is that velvet? The light picks off the creases so nicely, and the colours really seem to compliment Allison's colours.

Black satin? Interesting that it's got the green tint to it. Is there a gel or something over a light? Or just fluke?

It was done by adjusting the white balance first, then enhancing the green in photoshop. It is much more difficult then making the black satin look blue.. at least for me

As a spiral swirl of fabric, hair and legs, this composition has a dynamism quite reminiscent of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Yet it's also a portrait of vulnerable tranquility. That duality is nothing short of sublime!
