Princess Anica of House Butterfly was the 3rd child and 2nd daughter of Queen Isabella and King Romano who was born alongside her twin sister Clio.
From a young age, Anica was quiet, shy, and demure which stood in stark contrast from her older sister, Crown Princess Estrella, and even her twin sister, Clio, who was known to be flirtatious and a charmer like their mother. Knowing this, it should come as shock to find that she was actually interested in dangerous animals and beasts like dragons and wyverns and pixies. Once she was almost eaten by a pixie queen on purpose just to get an understanding of how their culture works.
In her home life, Anica was a well-loved child by her parents, however, she always felt a sense of tension and anger whenever she was near Estrella who was quite cool towards her which she never knew why and always made an attempt to be kind to her sister which was usually met with anger. Eventually, she just gave up and resigned herself to their strained relationship.
At the ball thrown for her and her sister's birthday, Anica met the Crown Prince of Wyvern, Jolteon and after dancing for a while Anica offered to give him a tour of her kingdom the next day and if maybe they could hang out during his stay in the Butterfly Kingdom. He agreed and during that time they found mutual ground in their love of dangerous creatures and he even explained that he wanted to one day tame a lightning wyvern which was the most dangerous type known to Mewman and Monster and the only known person to successfully tamed it was the first King of Wyvern. Eventually, he had to go back to his own kingdom but he promised that he would continue to write to her.
As their courtship grew, rumors of marriage continued to grow and even her older sister Princess Estrella was hinting at it. These rumors would soon be confirmed when Jolteon's letter came with an engagement ring.
Soon the two were wed and Anica moved to the Kingdom of Wyvern, far from her home of Mewni. When she arrived she was given a beautiful dragon egg of silver that she cared for and loved until the egg broke open and a baby dragon emerged who she named Aegon.
She immediately began to take care of her dragons and in the process was able to learn more about the dangerous creatures she had always loved as a child, and due to her care, her dragon began to grow.
Eventually, she and Jolteon wed which caused her to miss her sister's coronation as queen of the Butterfly Kingdom. However, she did manage to send her sister a beautiful gown that would become Estrella's main dress as queen. Soon after she gave birth to a daughter named Daeys.
Several years later, she was given a letter from her sister who begged her to take in her nieces, the princess Serenity and Minerva. She happily agreed and the two along with young Tedmund Cross arrived in Wyvern.
During their time there, Anica gave Serenity a strict diet and constant care but saw much of herself in Minerva who was also fascinated with dangerous creatures like her and her husband and began to take her under her wing until the point that Minerva decided to stay in Wyvern as a Dragon Mother, members who oversaw and protected the dragon eggs which were usually princesses and relatives of the Royal Family who would forever do their duty.
After the birth of her youngest child, the Queen heard tales of a feral dragon who was burning down villages in the West. Determined to stop him, she set out with Minerva on her silver dragon who had grown to full size to investigate. Unfortunately, when she tried to train the dragon, she was killed in the fire before Minerva could stop him. She was buried in the Royal Crypt of Wyvern and her husband refused to ever take another wife.
To this day, Princess Anica is a decisive figure of a what-if scenario has some see her as selfish for abandoning her people to her stubborn people while others defend her actions saying they were the actions of someone who could not see the future.
