Gwen Stacy. Born in Buffalo, New York just a month after Peter Parker. After her mother, Helen passed away from breast cancer, nine-year-old Gwen and her father, George moved to Queens, New York when her father got a new job in the NYPD. It was there that she met Peter Parker and she instantly fell in love with him and was able to relate to him due to the deaths of their respective parents and their equal love of science. As the years passed, Peter and Gwen became the best of friends and well-known as the smartest kids at school. However, things started to change after Peter lost his Uncle Ben. Gwen began to see Peter less often outside of school due to his freelance job at the Daily Bugle much to her worry, but Peter also seemed to be getting close to her father due to his police work. Gwen grows close with Mary Jane Watson, who gives her advice on how to show Peter her feelings for him while Peter seemed oblivious. When a rumor starts spreading that Peter is Spider-Man, Gwen wouldn't believe it since she knew Peter most of her life, but then she got abducted by a large, black monster who left her dangling on a parade balloon. Thankfully, Gwen was rescued by a beaten up Spider-Man with help from her friends. At the end of Thanksgiving, Gwen was motivated by the trauma to finally make a move by kissing Peter full on the lips. While the rumors of Peter being Spider-Man were officially denied, Gwen wished for a way to protect Peter the way Spider-Man protected her, which would instantly lead to a yellow and red sludge being attracted to her.

I've said this a hundred times, but I'll say it again: ever since I saw her portrayal in the Spectacular Spider-Man, Gwen has been the only person I pair with Peter. I know Gwen wasn't very likeable in the original comics, which is why I bless Greg Weisman and Victor Cook for making her much better in the Spectacular Spidey. The Gwen figure is from the Daily Bugle set, but I changed the head because I wasn't satisfied with the original.
