Description Miałam dać wcześniej, ale musiałam dokończyć xd trochę się przedłużyło XD

RIP twarz. RIP wzorki na koszuli. RIP niebo.

Po raz kolejny postanowiłam przedstawić Feliksa. Bo tak. I to w stroju starożytnych Słowian. Bo tak.

Dobra, to czas oświecić naszych hamerykańskich przyjaciół (no i pozostałych nie-polsko-języcznych):

ENG:

Feliks Łukasiewicz (APH) in ancient slavic clothes.Yaay.

Today's the independence Day of Poland (11.11)

After 123 years of occupation (1795 - 1918) Poland finally became independent and sovereign country. Yes - 123 years. Poland disappeared from a map for so long.
In 1795 happened the third partition of Poland between Prussia, Russia and Austria -> www.polishjews.org/maps/partit…
In 1918 Poland looked like that -> freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.a…
And now our country looks like that -> www.oocities.org/enchantedfore…

Our national symbols:
> The flag: the white color symbolizes purity, the red color symbolizes fire and blood and it's also a color of courage and bravery.
> The emblem: The pose of the white eagle shows willingness to fight. The golden crown on its head symbolizes sovereignity of our country.
The legend of the white eagle:
Once uppon a time, Lech - the founder of country of Polans (begining of polish state) saw a nest built on a tree. there was a white eagle with 3 chicks. When Lech was looking on the eagle, it spreaded its wings on the background of beautiful red sunset. It seemed so amazing to Lech, so he decided to stay there and set up a town called Gniezdno (back then. Now it's called Gniezno). (It's named after the nest he saw. Nest in polish means gniazdo.) And then he just took the symbol of eagle as an emblem.
The legend was written in 1273 in latin language and then in 1319 in czech language.

Less romantic version says that the Polans took the emblem of eagle as the symbol of power. After the Roman Empire (or Holy Roman Empire) from which many countries took over eagle as an emblem.
> The anthem "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego: also known as "Song of the Polish Legions in Italy". It's written by Józef Wybicki in 1797.
