Melody had some nice training sessions with Kogane, the beautiful golden colored CDH mare from Golden Barrow Ranch, until she was allowed to see hers. FINALLY! During their walk to the paddock for the imported new horses, she felt all excited.
When they reached the fence, Kai smiled and pointed to the big blue stallion, which stood at the other end of the area, watching them curiously. He did not seem to want to come to them and greet the humans, but prefered to stay where he was. He could see them from the distance. And that was enough for now.
„Wow, he... I can't find words...“, she said, standing there, glancing at him as if she had never seen a horse before. „Look at this color! Am I... allowed to get in there?“, she asked and Kai nodded. So she climbed over the fence. And the blue stallion suddenly raised his head, his ears flipped forward, his eyes facing her. And then, suddenly, he moved towards her – while she was too amazed, to do any more steps.
Melody waited for the stallion to decide, how close he wanted to come. And he decided, that there had to be at least two or three metres between them, as he stopped and watched her closely.
„You're a good boy, aren't you? You know, I finally picked a name for you.“, she said and smiled, while he was listering to her voice. „What do you think about Shén hǎi, hmh? It means god of the sea, because you're all blue and because I love the sea!“ She smiled.
The stallion lowered his head and out of his nostrills came some smoke.
„Does that mean you agree?“, she asked and grinned. „Wonderful!“

Melody spent the rest of the day in the paddock and went to her guest room in the evening, after talking to the stallion all day long. She had been able to touch him after a while and for tomorrow, she wanted to take him for a walk on one of the bigger meadows around the stable. After she had gotten the okay to make him loose on the meadow, they walked over the snowy ground, the stallion followed her with gentle and calm steps.
„I brought some marshmallows.“, she told him, while they were walking across the field. „Do you think you could help me getting them all warm and gluey?“
He snorted. How smart! Even though she did not believe, that he understood what she was saying, they finally stopped in the middle of the meadow and Melody unpacked a marshmallow to put it on a stick she lifted from the ground.
„Now you gotta... oh! What a clever fellow you are!“ He had set the marshmallow on fire, before she could show him, what she meant with all her human talking. „I think sweets are not good for you. But maybe I can make an exception, if you promise not to tell anybody.“, she grinned and reached him the sticky chunk. He sniffed, then started to nibble on it with his soft lips.
„Not what you expected, huh? Then let's get you some better stuff at the stable. Would you like to walk further?“
He raised his head and looked to the forest.
„Oh no, we can't walk over there, I'd have to ride you, so we'd be faster. But let's keep it calm.“
And so they walked over the meadow for a while, Melody held the halter of the stallion in her hand and he followed her with lowered head and waving tail.

Uuuuh! Melody finally met our very own Chinese Dragon Horse And I finally found a suiting name!
Shén hǎi (神海) means God of the sea and as Melody told him, she picked that name because of his wonderful deep blue color and because she loves the sea a lot
Next one will be a training image Actually I should be studying instead of drawing because I sh*t bricks because of my last exam on monday, but... I just needed to calm down a bit >__> Legal English, you know? S*cks balls -.-
