But I for one have had a lot more intellectually stimulating conversations with a simple dreahgaal quarry taskmaster in comparison to many of the wealthy court bottomfeeders and the drivel they spew without end. What is there not to like in the humble draehgaal with their quiet, task oriented disposition and even the lower casts are surprisingly cunning in their own way.

The general flaw I find in mankind more so than thrall lies not with being simple, but rather with being unreasonable and unagreeable.

I've also heard many foreigners compare them to dogs which isn't that inaccurate as I can see likeness, though I'm fully aware that it's meant as an insult but I beg to differ. Dreahgaals are like very large dogs; loyal, eager to please and hungry for affection. The major differences is that draehgaals have an aptitude for more advanced tricks than your average mutt. Such as putting together my daily schedule, assisting in managing the accounting of my estates, skewering, crushing or restraining uninvited guests and flinging them out my palace all for my amusement. Having said all this, I hope you good sirs and madams can see why I prefer draehgaal over both man and dog."

Doung'zååh is a highly stratified society were political power lie with the landowners, a timocracy. But the upper houses stand divided and it's different parties are engaged in shameless power struggles so the most politically entrenched individual is elected to become the countries equivalent of a king to balance the scales so none of the minor autocrats has to much power and upsetting the already brittle political climate of the realm. Other then quelling the domestic schemes and power-grabs the grand autocrat also works to secure the country from external threats as well as engaging in diplomacy with foreign nations. Not an easy task but two draehgaal "kings" will assist, acting as stewards, secretaries and bodyguards all wrapped in one.
Draehgaals kings are truly formidable examples of what the Kiyv'akomo thrallmakers of Doung'zååh can create at their best, but as they require a lot of time and resources invested to yield results, only a handful live specimens exist within Doung'zååh. Of course, despite being meticulously crafted they still carry many physical deformities, as is common among their ilk, though they are still seen as true paragons of their kind and thus deserving of some level respect.
