Perhaps, but that was only a taste of both Gandalf and Saruman's powers in the film's; I'm quite sure they're VASTLY more powerful than that, considering their age, experience, and years of study. Plus, Gandalf's a pretty badass sword fighter too, and that was before his resurrection! Remember, both men are highly respected and feared throughout the realms of Middle-Earth, and even Mordor! Im quite sure that there's a very good reason for that.
Also, you cant really compare them to Jareth in that manner. For one thing, both men are human; extraordinarily powerful and wise despite their advanced ages, but still human. Jareth however, is heavily implied to be a being of the Fae; which particular race of Fae was never specified, but he was apparently Fae nonetheless, which means that not only is he not human, but is far, far more powerful than any human wizard could ever hope to be, including Gandalf and Saruman. Him being Fae would account for his unearthly beauty, eternal youth, sharp, mismatched eyes, and of course, his ability to warp reality and re-order time at will, and doing so as easily as a person can blow their nose. I doubt the other two wizards can Do that as easily.

I really didn't know what to answer either.
All three are completely made up fictional characters, so are "wizards" and "fae". Nobody should have to follow any fantasy novel conventionalisms, if I write a novel where the fae are weak and wizards are all powerful, nobody can stop me.
It is a very weird comment, but he spent a long time writing it, so I'll respect his point of view.Β

yeah, but I had a great time drawing them, what's hard is drawing characters that are supposed to look like real people, they never turn out just right...

You can not imagine how happy I am this work of yours. I love the madness Lord of the Rings (all of the works of CS Lewis and Tolkien). Just go to my page here in DevianArt to see for yourself how much I love the movie Labyrinth. So thank you, thank you, thank you again for this wonderful masterpiece that makes me smile.
