I'm not crazy about the pairing of the hairstyle with the fifties dress-- that's a look that's extremely specific to a time and place, and seeing someone straight out of 2008-2012 Portland/Toronto detracts from the era-less, transcendent excitement supplied by the figure behind her and the setting. I think your skill and vision are remarkable, my only qualm is with the glaringly specific fad-style against the timelessly interesting backdrop.

i really love the tone and lighting here. this reminds me of the classic american illustration painting style, especially with the Pulps. this almost looks like it belongs on the cover of a mystery novel.

Just an objective critique, not a criticism; both of the characters look incredibly large. This might be due to:
-Depth of field effect from the dense fog in the near background
-Wooden posts resembling mountainous stone structures
-Down-looking-up perspective chosen for this piece

I love this! Thank you for creating such a beautiful piece, it is ominously elegant, and elegantly ominous. The colors are very pleasing, and the characters are just so perfect; they contrast and complement one another quite beautifully. The emergent thoughts that are produced by just looking at this puts me in a place that I've not visited in quite awhile.
