Last artwork of the year! I fell in love with this photo set by Grimmhardt and used the top image as a reference picture for this portrait of Dean.
Watercolor, inks, Prismacolor pencils, Liquitex (acrylic painting) for the white highlights. 13,5 x 20ย cm sketchbook, watercolor paper.

Sรฉrieusement !! Comment fais-tu pour maรฎtriser si bien le pigment ?! L'eau ?! Pour si bien gรฉrer la quantitรฉ ?ย Mรชme sur de petites surface je tombe en rade de couleur sur ma palette , je dois recrรฉer la couleur que je suis en train d'utiliser et c'est duuur !
En plus, on ne voit pas de halo d'eau nulle part sur le visage, รงa semble fait d'une seule traite ! C'est magnifique !!

This is beautiful. I have a question though. What color do you make for the skin color? I just can't find the right color and I'm doing a watercolor project in art.

It's a mix between sepia, ocre (a kind of yellow) and pink (or a pinkish-purple)
Otherwise, on some parts of the face, I use Copic markers. They are more opaque and I have a better control of what I do.
