certain times of our lives are filled with hatrid and greed.... disgust and despair.... the heart rises against the throat and drops like a steel cage at wills of inward demons...... without knowing what the face will convey, the life-source will react..... and without fearing the impossible the soul soars.....
i think the thing i like most about this pic is that even though emotion is one of the most difficult things to capture.... even to the skilled as you are.... this one.... ohhh, this one.... is absolutely breath-taking...... i can almost hear it.... i can almost smell it.... i can taste it...... definitely a fav.....

you know, i guess that anyone coming to my gallery recently would think i never did color work -- the truth is, i usually prefer it, but my recent experiments with toycamera technology have sent me into a black and white feeling...expect some very interesting color work from me in the coming months though!

I titled it that because it's what she did as i took the image...I shant tell you what made her gasp though!
My brother and I have some new things coming up...this is just a slow time of year for us...stay tuned!

Been meaning to say something on this image for a while, and I shall now take the time:
I love it. This image is beauty. Not classic beauty, not alternative beauty, not created beauty, but beauty in and of itself. I don't really know what more I can say than that--I certainly can't critique it. I'm just glad to see color again and, more importantly, such a perfect use of color. More than anything, though, I'm just amazed by this image. It's simple, and rightly so: it is everything it needs to be.

Thank you so much...I'm almost embarrassed to say how long I've been holding this image back -- I knew what it made me feel, but I was afraid that I saw what I saw because of the feelings the subject raised in me personally...she is so much more beautiful and soulful than my little foto can convey...but hopefully she'll keep giving me chances to try!

It just dawned on me that i've been doing so much work with the toycameras, which sort of call for black and white, that my color work has fallen by the wayside...i'll try to rectify that soon!

nah - i just relate really easily to your and your brothers photographs. its surprising considering i have no personal experience of bondage or anything else which you two photograph yet i seem to be able to pick up on a lot from what i see in your photos. i certainly would love to do some shoots like yours (obviously on the photographers side of the camera) so i also like iyour photos as they are inspirational for me as a photographer.
