Description "This is all your fault!" thought Daphne to Velma, letting her friend know how perturbed she was. "How was I supposed to know?" Velma responded, surprised by how her thought came out as a apologetic whine.

The two women had decided for a walk on the beach as the sun was setting. They had discovered a woman with hair with red like the lowering sun, but exotic looks and skin that almost seemed like bronzed sand. Daphne and Velma were stunned to silence as she manipulated the sand with waves of her hand. One moment a great castle rose up from the beach, that was replaced by a villa and then several reproductions of famous statues. It was then Velma, trying to be witty, made her comment. The woman turned on them, then gave a slow, deadly smile as she rose a hand to gesture at the two. Velma and Daphne found themselves rooted to the spot. They felt their bodies began to change as it seemed to become soft, yet also hard. Daphne and Velma were surprised to find they were now sand sculptures! Equally astonishing was that they were aware and they could speak with their thoughts.

"You had to call her that!?"Daphne's angry thought broke upon Velma. If she could have winced, the bespectacled woman would have. "I'm sorry!" thought Velma as loud as she could. "I'm sorry all around!"

Nearby the sand caster tapped a finger to her chin. "Apology accepted," she purred out in a voice as exotic as her looks. "But, I think I'll leave you two here to enjoy the rising moon for a bit," she said turning to walk away. "Don't worry, I'll be back to change you before high tide rolls in and no one else will bother you." She walked a little further along, then turned back to look at Velma. "Oh, my dear," she said to her with a bit of menace slipping into her voice. "I now hope you realize to NEVER call a Sand Sorcerous a Sand Witch!"
