Before I went crazy on this, it used to be two seperate pieces. One called 'Court du Noir' which can be found in my gallery, and another of something or other because I can't remember the name. Anyway, I'm actually really pleased with the way this came out. I added them together, practised cleaning up my lines, etc. The Erik was originally a line painting and the background was made with Bryce and Photoshop. Slap them together and what do you get?A better piece than both. Very sad. I kind of wish the corinthian columns had shown up, because it would've added to the Persian-ness, but we can't have everything.

Wow! he looks amazing. He kinda reminds me of Lestat, same kinda dark mood there. Good symmetry and a brilliant intense expression!

Also he's wearing high heels because his boots have heels. I can never seem to help but draw boots with big heels. I probably should've made them smaller, but hey. I like it for now.

I sort of see what you're saying kind of. But I tend to draw my hands really sort of long and kind of girly. Think of them as piano hands.

Kickass! He looks angry or hurt, or both...kinda like someone just made a comment about his mask, or something along those lines. And he is considering strangling them when he is done playing the violin =^.^= I love Erik.
This...rocks. The black-and-whiteness of it (monochrome, Fontenar, you dumbass....) is very visually striking, as is the composition...it makes you really focus on Erik's face and the violin. *loves it to death*
My only critique is the same as twinlady's...his hands are a bit odd. Too thin/small, I think, but then, I can't draw hands to save my unlife. One question...why is Erik wearing high heels? *blinks*
Despite the critiques, I love this piece! It's just breathtaking. And...someone....actually drew Erik in Persia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were to critique I'd say that his hands are a teensy bit out of shape, but I won't becuase if I tried to draw them they'd look like mangled spiders 
But this is wonderful!
