My depiction of the Narrator from The Stanley Parable. I always picture him floating in some sort of void like this, keeping an eye on his story through both omnipotent sense (instinctively knows when, say, a door has been opened or something) and these screens for visual help and more precise monitoring. No security cameras, he can just see anywhere at any time. And of course some loose script pages scattered about. We do hear him shuffling papers occasionally after all. The Adventure Line is present as a scarf, and his shirt is patterned after the Zending room. I do wish I could get him looking a bit older but there aren't many middle-aged or elderly models I can edit...

I see him as both some sort of god-like being and an AI of some kind. Can't quite explain well. In the Real Person ending we do get to hear him 'boot up' so to speak. He claims "I'm awake" after coming back but his voice was kind of glitchy for a moment there. Plus there's the Curator's speech about how he and Stanley both need each other to function. Sure a story needs a protagonist and a protagonist needs a story, but I think it goes deeper. They're both tied to system, so to speak. The Narrator is an intrinsic function of the Parable, the creator of both it and Stanley, basically a god, but he is not perfect and as proven by both the Confusion and Museum endings resides somewhere that someone else has control over, admin privileges in a sense, and I believe that's the Curator.

Not quite cyberspace, not quite an AI, but some mix of that and a god with a pocket dimension. Best way I can think to put it.
