I set myself a 30-day challenge for December this year. I am drawing an illustration based on a different fairy tale/legend/folk tale every day. I post them daily on my tumblr, and I'll upload them in sets of ten here.Fairytales illustrated here, going from left to right.

Oh, I don't think I can guess any of these fairy tales since not one of them is as recognizable as like The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. I really need to educate myself on fairy tales around the world! Could you send me a note on the fairy tales that these are based on? I'm very interested in learning what stories these drawings are based on and where they originated! (especially the two drawings on the bottom!)

Your using of pencils look wonderful here! I love the crosshatched shadowing you've used on some of these~. Faved!

Thank you! I do like using pencils. Usually it's just the first stop before an finished inked piece, but using just pencils is great fun. I should do it more often. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
