Description Finished with my Commision page for s "The Magic of Love" Illustration Project!

I have Page 3 where Bandit casts his evil dramatic spell of Doom!

In a valley: The bandit does a dramatic magic spell in which dark clouds gather and green light is involved. (You can invent the rest. Have fun!) The spell is to make George stop loving Princess Rose. The bandit wears an evil, delighted grin, while Princess Rose and George watch, afraid. George is holding Princess Rose's crown at the time.

I hope you like it Luna!

Definitely challenged me a bit, both in art and time management
Here's the Work in Progress post if any one is interested> [link]

Green lighting is evil. And I don't just mean villainous. I mean its really a pain to do.
And I realize Princess Rose's arm is off... sadly I couldn't fix it without ruining everything else.
Also I like Lightning.
Mwahahahahaha.

This really is amazing. The lighting, the rocks, the clouds, the expressions, the composition, the evil spell... It's brilliant.

You're welcome. I can imagine it being nice if you have to draw something. Because most of the time, I don't even know what I want to draw and then get a very boring picture...

(As I haven't had free time last months, I'm now answering... Sorry for the late reply )

It's true that having a bit of a restraint helps one be pretty creative!
I know that feeling though.

(It's okay! ^^)

Hey, it ended up great! I know how hard green lighting can be, but you pulled it off really well! I love the lightning and cloud effects. You totally got the mood down.

Thank you! Yeah it really is!
There was a time that George's sleeve was a full rainbow... due to how much colored light was clashing and how I had no idea how to handle it.

Yay!

This is AMAZING. I love your strong composition here, your contrast in colors, the awesome rendering of cloud smoke, the way you used the smoke to separate the two angles... everything about this is so cool.

Thank you!
Yeah and I discovered a new way to create rocks and clouds while working on this. It really cuts my work time in half.

Yes I really just threw in everything dynamic I could think of!
And I'm glad the two different shots worked out... After all I kind of broke a cartooning rule or something about how characters shouldn't switch places in the same page.

Awesome! It does look really stunning? Hmm you mean like the 180 rule? I was able to read it fine here at least, I think it helps add their emotions to the scene since in the main panel their backs are to the viewer, I like it!

Yes I think so.. I just saw a very informative post about it on tumblr. : O
I think it worked though because the silhouettes are lined in such a way they sort of blend in with the clouds. (It doesn't take the attention away from the panel of their faces)

Okay! Thank you ; u ;
