Mister Freeze: Never again to feel the warm summer day...it only gives me a cold comfort...that the one who has ruined me is now locked away. But to never again see Nora...that is the true torture.

Seeing that snow-globe in his hand reminds me of the last scene in "Heart of Ice". Mr. Freeze has always been my favorite Batman villain and you did a great job here. The suit is a perfect blend of the classic look mixed with your own style. Well done.

Now, THIS is what I like to see: a shout out to the classic Mr. Freeze suit, but with your own uniqueΒ vision incorporatedΒ into it.

I love everything about this. From the suit to the little trinket. Great work

Thanks. Mr Freeze needed some memento of Nora. It's a big part of who he is. I am glad you like it.

AHA! It was indeed Scott Snyder (and also James Tynion IV) who wrote the new origin in Batman Annual 1 July 2012 and that's just the tip of the iceberg (pun intended) the rest of Snyder's Batman comics are also shit!Β

Hmm, you got me on the specific issue. Not going to argue over the quality of his other comics, though. Those conversations rarely end well.

Truth be told dude, art is subjective, a dozen people can read the same story and we'll have a dozen different opinions on it. I don't like Scott Snyder because of the the way his stories have unnecessarily altered the mythos of Batman. BUT that's my opinion and I only speak for myself. To each his own.Β

Fair enough. And the New 52 has messed up continuity so badly anything Snyder has done has come across as good in comparison.

I don't consider any writer or artist's work good because it was less bad in comparison to everyone else's.
As far as reboots go the New 52 wasn't all that bad, the point of a reboot is to give everyone a fresh start and for the most part it worked fine. I actually read the first twelve issues of EVERY SINGLE TITLE in the New 52 and I thought everything made a clean break except for the Batman books by Snyder.Β
The problems started when publisher/editors Dan DiDio and Jim Lee allowed Scott Snyder to set his new Batman stories in the wake of the old ones from before the reboot as though the reboot never happened. DC should haveΒ taken the same back to basics approach with Batman as they did with Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash settling on only one Robin instead of keeping all four.
The first time I picked up a copy of Batman I saw Alfred, Bruce and Dick in the Batcave and only Bruce was in costume and it was pretty easy to guess who the boy was given I had already seen episodes of the Adam West Batman show, when new readers picked up a copy of Batman 1 after the reboot they saw Bruce Wayne in a tuxedo with three boys surrounding him (page 13) and it would be months before they'd get the backstory which was itself complicated.Β

The new 52 design too isn't good either, like he still has his condition yet his arms are bare, what the point?

They were probably going for what looked cool (no pun intended) instead of what made sense within the context of the story!Β

Awesome work on the suit. Looks like he's ready to bring his freeze gun on an unaware Bat or Robin
